Ah gadgets, don’t they just make you feel like a spy in a James bond film? Hunt: Showdown tactical gadgets are nothing less in my opinion. These gadgets provide Hunters with creative and fun methods to kill their opponents. Hunt: Showdown has three tactical gadgets, and today we are going to talk about each of them.
The Concertina Trip Mine Tactical Gadget
The Concertina Trip Mine is as the name suggests, a type of trip mine that explodes on an unsuspecting enemy with the addition of barbed wire blocking and damaging that enemy, slowing their movement. It is definitely a more malicious and powerful development of the non-lethal version of the device patented by Samuel McCollin in 1879.
In most cases, the Concertina Trip Mine won’t work on actual players and would go off on enemy mobs. But the moment it does work on an unsuspecting player, it makes the moment so much worthwhile. Clever players use the trip mine as a potential entry block for enemy players and mobs. Hunters would place a Concertina Trip Mine on a small entrance or a hallway and trigger it themselves, exploding the mine and blocking the entire entrance with concertina wire.
The Concertina Mine is not the best weapon to deal damage with. It does 10 damage to the enemy with an effective radius of 2m. But it works great for players to make a quick escape. Players can unlock it at rank 40.
The Concertina Bomb
Similar to The Concertina Trip Mine, The Concertina Bomb is a throwable bomb that explodes in the enemy’s face. Where the trip mine was mainly used to make the unsuspecting enemy movement slow or to close out a path from enemies to rush into, the Concertina Bomb is mainly used to get some extra damage onto an unsuspecting enemy.
As we know, Hunt: Showdown is a ruthless game when it comes to PVP. Getting a small advantage over your enemy is always worth it. The Concertina Bomb does approximately 200 damage at a 10m radius. Furthermore, it can be combined with the traits Pitcher to get even amazing results out of it. Players can unlock it by completing 2 challenges from “Book of Weapons” after rank 40.
The Flash Bomb
The Flash Bomb in Hunt: Showdown is also known as the flash grenade, flashbang, thunderflash, and sound bomb; it has been changed over time. In Hunt: Showdown, the flash bomb is not used as your regular flash bomb that players used to make a quick escape or play defensively.
Hunt: Showdown is a western-style first-person shooter game where bullets are limited and reloads are slow. Players often die due to getting off-guard and reloading bullets while the enemy rushes them. To escape from situations like that, the developers did add the flash bomb in-game but clever players found a different way to use it. Players engage an enemy and use their flash bombs to distract them. Getting flashed by a Flash bomb will make the other player desperate. So, the next time the enemy charges you, you can just be ready with an extra bullet.
The Flash Bomb is not known for its damage capabilities. It does absolutely 0 damage but it creates a blinding light in a 20m radius. Players can unlock the Flash Bomb in Hunt Showdown by completing 1 challenge from “Book of Weapons” after ranking up to level 40. You can also combine it with the traits Pitcher for better results.
