12.) Fallout 4

11.) The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Another no-brainer when it comes to the greatest triple-A action RPGS of all time is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This majestically gorgeous game embodies what a true RPG should strive to be. Building up from the lore of the previous 2 entries, the game serves as a finale to Geralt Of Rivia, the series’ protagonist.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, despite having a hero who you can’t really change appearance-wise, gives the freedom to control his actions. That’s where the RPG element of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt shines brightly. Seriously, the moral shades of grey in the game’s storytelling are second to none.
That, plus the character development during the conversations in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is top-tier. There are optional quests, too, which give The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt a unique identity among triple-A action RPGS. The combat build diversity is another huge appeal. Like, if you enjoy hunting games, and don’t mind the fantasy elements, this one will be right up your alley.
10.) Mass Effect: Legendary Edition

The bonds that you form along the way with Commander Shepard are some of the best in gaming history. 9.) The Souls-Borne Games
Calling all gluttons for punishments cause this next entry on our list of triple-A action RPGS is gonna tickle their fancy. Yep, that’s right, we’re talking about the punishingly brutal SoulsBorne games. These include all the heavy hitters, whether it’s the original Demon’s Souls, its remake, the Dark Souls trilogy, and, of course, Bloodborne. No, Sekiro doesn’t count, stop raging.
Anyway, in the SoulsBorne games, the common denominator, aside from no room for errors, is that there’s freedom. Yep, you’re free to choose whichever path you wish to pursue without any sort of linear hindrance. Well, there are few in the beginning, but even then, you can get past them if you’re clever enough.
Be careful, though, as there are terrifying swathes of enemies around every corner. Not only that, but the boss fights are just plain unfair at times in SoulsBorne games. However, the character builds that you can make, the strategies you employ to defeat your enemies, and quest lines that’ll tug away at your heartstrings make the SoulsBorne games some of the finest triple-A action RPGS.
8.) Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Okay~ now for the first exclusive title on our list of amazing triple-A action RPGS, we’ve got Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It is the epitome of game design, offering a complex yet super accessible experience for gamers of all skill levels. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 boasts colorful, anime-esque visuals, deep customization, and a highly fluid, satisfying combat system.
The traversal in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is another magnificent highlight feature of the game. You use mechs to explore and travel around the luscious and gorgeously diverse environments. There, you’ll encounter enemies to be prepared for a scrap. You’ll also discover resources and rare items, even stronger versions of enemies in the different biomes to farm.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has this charming appeal that gets you hooked immediately. In fact, we’re of the opinion, and many of the fans will agree on this too, that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is one of the best triple-A action RPG Nintendo Switch exclusives of all time.
7.) Starfield – One of the Best Triple-A Action RPGS Of 2023 Is Still Worth Playing
Starfield is Microsoft’s debut in what we feel is the best course correction in gaming. Team Xbox needed a big hit in their first-party line-up to get back in the game (sorry, not sorry for the puns). Lo and behold, they nailed it with one of the best triple-A action RPGS in recent memory, Starfield. This game is the culmination of the best of Bethesda’s RPG expertise with Microsoft’s bank.
The result is that you’ve got a game with even more potential than any before it. Sure, the diehards loved it, the naysayers denied even its positives, but Bethesda is receptive to the feedback. They’re improving things constantly, adding new features to keep the player engagement level high. If you’re into space games, then Starfield is an absolute must-play.
Starfield features over 1000 planets for you to explore, a diverse number of NPCs can join you, and there are biomes for you to discover. Fully populated cities with lore and roles in the central conflict of the story of Starfield add depth to the experience. Really, Starfield is like a dream come true for fans of triple-A action RPGS.
6.) Elden Ring
Regardless of your feelings about whether Elden Ring’s worth playing during the past year, with news of impending DLC, it’s definitely a great time to jump into the game in 2024. Why? Well, cause it’s the most fun we’ve had in a Souls-like title, and it fully embraces its roots in the dark fantasy triple-A action RPGS.
Elden Ring is a game that will elevate your skills as a gamer, but you’ll have to work for it, too. It’s the fine balance of challenge and accessibility. Also, the non-linear design is by far the best from a FromSoftware title. You can literally bypass entire segments if you’re clever enough to diver shortcuts.
Plus, let’s face it, you get to ride a majestic steed into combat. If that’s not what grabs you about Elden Ring, we don’t know what will. The pure spectacle of using sorcery and weapon arts is a treat in of itself, but Elden Ring offers even more depth to the builds than most triple-A action RPGS.
5.) The Borderlands Series
Okay~ another series of games makes it on our list of awesometacular triple-A action RPGS. But that’s because we love’em all and simply can’t choose between our favorite games in the Borderlands series. Whether it’s Borderlands 1, Borderlands 2, Borderlands The Pre-Sequel, Borderlands 3, or Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, all are freaking great.
What’s common in all of them is the looter shooter element with some of the finest FPS shooting in gaming. You’ll want to do every quest and grind to level up because everything is so darn fun in all the games of the Borderland series.
The boss fights, in particular, are what’ll get you sweating. Co-op is your best bet to taking them down, especially in higher difficulties and new game-plus. The type of weapons and the sheer volume of guns are hallmarks of the Borderlands series. The action skills give the roleplaying element a shine. The Borderlands series is one of the coolest triple-A action RPGS to ever exist.
4.) Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen
Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is easily one of our favorite medieval-themed games. It also happens to be one of the best triple-A action RPGS ever. With its unique pawn system, a janky but charming combat system, and vocations with great utility, you’ll get the most unique roleplaying experience ever.
Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is the game you want to play if you feel like going on an epic adventure. You’ll team up with AI-controlled NPC companions called pawns, then slaughter hostile creatures. The voice acting in the game is outlandishly cheesy, and it is highly entertaining.
The background themes and powerful enemy bosses offer some of the most epic and satisfying moments in the game. Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is one of the most criminally underrated triple-A action RPGS of all time. With the sequel now set to arrive, we can’t wait!
3.) Cyberpunk 2077 – Greatness Among Other Sci-Fi Triple-A Action RPGS
We’re ushering past the top 5 of our list of dope triple-A action RPGS with Cyberpunk 2077. No surprises, really; it’s one of the most immersive FPS roleplaying games we’ve ever played. With the release of the Phantom Liberty DLC and a host of other updates, Cyberpunk 2077 is the bomb. If you love mature games for adults, Cyberpunk 2077 is for you.
Depending on your choices, the epilogue, and fates of characters, including the protagonist V, will vary greatly. Cyberpunk 2077 gives players unbelievably different ways to complete quests. It all depends on which missions you’ve already completed and which factions you’ve signed yourself with.
The multiple paths approach is the essence of Cyberpunk 2077’s DNA. It’s within the combat phase, too. The new overhaul completely changes the way you approach situations with conflict. Honestly, Cyberpunk 2077 has set the bar high for other triple-A action RPGS. Now let’s see them top this.
2.) Monster Hunter World
Oh, boy, we’re at the runner-up spot on our list of triple-A action RPGS. We can’t think of a better title than Monster Hunter: World that’s fit for this position. Why? Well, because Capcom’s got the recipe to get players hooked and keep them that way.
The visuals of Monster Hunter: World are a feast for the eyes, but the gameplay is where the meat is. The preparation, planning, teaming up with your buddies, and working out angles of attacks are all part of the game design. You’ll need to attack colossal beasts with everything you’ve got.
Maneuverability is key, but so is timing your attacks; if you don’t capitalize on the opportunities, you’ll fail. That’s what’s so intriguing about Monster Hunter: World. It’s one of the best triple-A action RPGS where you have to have the mindset of a hunter. The combat satisfaction is up there with our favorite hack-and-slash games.
1.) Final Fantasy 16 – The King Of Triple-A Action RPGS
We’re capping off our list of spectacular triple-A action RPGS with the surprisingly mature Final Fantasy 16. This magical RPG series is going strong, and this latest one might be our new favorite. If for nothing else, because of the chemistry of its lead characters, Clive and Jill. Their love is wholesome and tragic, and that’s why they don’t mince words.
Final Fantasy 16 has jaw-dropping graphics; the particle effects and magical attacks look stunning. The storytelling doesn’t shy away from themes that usually you won’t see in games. But like we said, the most enjoyable facet of Final Fantasy 16 is the game’s romance. In fact, we’re definitely confident about pitting it against our other favorite RPGS with romance.
Final Fantasy 16 has all of the bits and bobs of the series, where you go around exploring open areas and dungeons. Fighting enemies with your companions, you’ll have to manage which companions are best for which situation. Final Fantasy 16 impressed us enough that it’s sitting at the top of our favorite triple-A action RPGS.
