Void Interactive succeeded in their recent Early Access title, Ready or Not, by making it a loyal spiritual successor of the classic SWAT 4. Not only did Ready or Not manage to capture the ambiance and vibe of SWAT 4, but Void Interactive managed to add to it for a more modern gaming experience.
Ready or Not offers different game modes, each with a specific difficulty based on the map and the way the players must approach their objectives. In this article, we will focus on Raid mode in Ready or Not. It is one of the favorites of the Ready or Not community because it’s entertaining and allows players to go guns blazing into their mission.
Ready or Not not only captures all the good stuff SWAT 4 managed to accomplish but also adds to the formula. Ready or Not includes a great customizable armory from lethal such as shotguns, assault rifles, and more. Moreover, Ready or Not allows players to approach missions in a non-lethal way by adding rubber bullets, shotguns, tasers, and other weaponry to neutralize enemies without killing them.
Overview of the Raid Mode in Ready or Not
The raid game mode is one of the hardest in Ready or Not, as enemies are non-compliant and will shoot the player on-site. Restraining enemies is almost impossible as they will ignore every order players try to give them. In other words, rules of engagement aren’t as tight as in different game modes, such as barricaded suspects, whose main objective is to rescue as many civilians as possible while avoiding as many casualties as possible.
Players should go with the big guns and heavy armor to survive, as everything can turn into hell in a matter of seconds in Raid mode.
Tips for Beating Raid Mode in Ready or Not
This game mode is punishing, and players might have to replay the same mission several times before completing it, so it’s essential not to ignore anything happening on the map.
Next, we will list the best tips to succeed in Raid for players doing solo missions, with bots, and with friends.
Raid Tips – Bots
Playing with bots can go two ways; They are all of a sudden John Wick or a target practice dummy for enemies, so it is essential to be fully aware of what they are doing and coordinate them well. Staying on top of your bots is essential when playing in Ready or Not’s Raid mode.
Make Them Do The Job You Are Paying Them For
Order the bots to cover your back if you are breaching a room. Players can also order a team of two to do one action and the other does another. This way, one group of bots can watch an angle while the other breaches a door.
Breaching is a hard thing to do properly in the game, which is why we made a guide dedicated to teaching players like you how to breach a room in Ready or Not.
Or, Let Them Do The Dirty Parts
If you want the bots to do the breaching, order them while you watch their back.
Use Their Equipment
Bots can get equipped with all types of equipment so make sure to have them use it to prevent friendly and civilian casualties. Use the Mirror Gun to check rooms before breaching and if enemies are inside the room, order them to flash it before clearing it.

WATCH YOUR FIRE
If you manage to take down one or two friendly bots, they will turn into something like the T-800 Terminator and annihilate you instantly. Some games permit friendly fire, but Ready or Not does not in any game mode.
Raid Tips – Solo
Playing Solo is hands down one of the best ways to play this game. Remember that doing this will turn Ready or Not into a horror game, as you will not have anyone watching your back.
Currently, Ready or Not doesn’t allow players to go Solo into a mission, but it is still doable. At the start of the task, simply order the bots to stay at spawn, and they will for the rest of the mission until you tell them otherwise.

Suit Up!
Equip heavily with heavy armor for more protection or a lighter one for movement. You can either approach raid mode in Ready or Not like a tank or as a nimble rogue, sneaking around the level as best you can.
Take an Assault Rifle such as the ARN-18 to take down enemies quickly. Shotgun loadouts in Ready or Not are also very helpful but have a limited range. Always take a powerful pistol to be able to engage enemies at longer ranges, such as the .357 Magnum.
Never Assume A Room Is Clear
Even when you have already passed across a room, if you have to revisit that room and it has more than one entrance, assume there is an enemy.
Mirror Gun For The Win
The Mirror Gun is your guardian angel. With it, you can visually scan rooms and corners before moving into them.
Wedge Doors
Wedging doors is not a bad idea, especially if you know you will forget to watch your back constantly. Do not forget to pick them back up after using them so you can wedge other doors for rooms you haven’t cleared.
This can slow your raid down in Ready or Not, but being safe is paramount. This is a realistic FPS game; you can go lights out in an instant if you are not careful.
Don’t be Stingy; Use that Flashbang Grenade
If you are unsure if there are enemies in the room or you see more than one, play it save and use a tactical grenade. IN that way, you don’t have to engage more than one enemy simultaneously. Remember that you are already at a disadvantage in a situation like this, so increase your chances of surviving the raid in Ready or Not using your equipment.
Multiplayer Raid Mode Tips for Ready or Not
Playing with friends can be challenging, especially if you have problems coordinating with them. A coordinated group of friends is essential to succeed in a mission in Ready or Not. To see just how many friends you can play with, check out our guide to the max co-op player count in Ready or Not.
Once Again… Coordinate
The best way to succeed during a raid in Ready or Not is always to have one or two players assigned to watch back, one for completing tasks such as restraining and grabbing evidence and a breacher. This way, you will have all your angles covered.
Who Has What?
Before jumping into a mission, ensure everyone has the right equipment based on their tasks. Check if you have enough tactical grenades, a mirror gun, a breaching tool, etc.
Also, a big mistake some players make is not paying attention to what headgear their teammates are using, having half of your team using Nightvision and the other Flashlights can be disastrous.
