Marauders implemented a crafting mechanic that allows players to develop their raid items without spending money on them or looking for them in countless matches. This mechanic allows players to always have weapons and armor available as long as they have the necessary resources.
Space Pirates will also have to focus on leveling up so they can unlock more items to craft. In this Marauders guide, we will cover everything, from crafting basics to advanced tips on how to gather materials and craft essential items.
Overview of Crafting in Marauders
The Crafting mechanic allows players to create equipment that can get used in a raid or their ships. Crafting allows players to get specific items without looking for them in a raid or purchasing them whenever required. To craft items, players need the ability to craft the item and the necessary resources to do so.
What Items Can Be Crafted?
You can craft just about any object in Marauders. The common set of weapons, armor, helmets, and healing items is there. Yet, the game also allows you to craft things like ships and storage containers as well. Here is the full list of items that can be crafted in Marauders.
- Weapons
- Attachments
- Healing Items
- Ammo
- Ships
- Storage Containers
- Armor
- Helmets
How to Craft In Marauders
To craft, you will have to hit the third option on the top left menu that says Crafting, and once there, you can select the item you want to craft.
Some items get unlocked by default, but others will have to be opened through the Zero to Hero main progression system. You must unlock the ability to craft an item in Marauders before you are able to do so.
How to Unlock New Crafting Items
There are different ways players can unlock new equipment.
For the first one, players will have to meet specific criteria:
- Level: This is gained by simply playing the game and can be boosted by doing missions and contracts
- Skill Points: These get earned by leveling up
- Money: Cash will get required to unlock a particular item; once open, you don’t need to pay again.
Once you meet these requirements, the item will get unlocked by Marauders for crafting. Yet, remember that you still need to have the necessary materials to be able to prepare the desired equipment.
The second way of unlocking crafting items is completing Zero to Hero missions, as most high-tier crafting items get locked through this. If you are interesting in unlocking more items to craft, you will want to refrain from prestiging in Marauders, as this will reset your Zero to Hero progression.
How to Get Crafting Materials in Marauders
Crafting materials can be found on raids on every storage container through the map or scrapped from the items in your inventory.
To Scrap an item, you need to grab it and place it in the recycle icon. The game will tell you what resources you can get by scrapping specific types of equipment.
Some items can’t be used for scrapping, and when this happens, the game will pop up a notice below the recycling icon telling you that the thing can’t get scrapped.
Scrapping is the most optimal way to get resources, as you don’t have to fight your way out of a map to secure them.
Crafting in Marauders
Once you have all the materials to craft, hit the craft button and wait a few seconds for the item to be ready. Remember that some things can take more time to craft than others.
Once your item is ready, click collect, and the game will get it placed on your inventory. If you do not have space in your storage, it won’t let you collect it.
Most Important Crafting Resources in Marauders
Some Crafting materials can be very situational, but others will be a must for almost any item in the game.
These are the resources we highly encourage you to keep and be on the look for:
Synthetic Scrap
Synthetic Scrap is an essential crafting material in Marauders as it gets used for healing items, weapons, armor, and more. This resource can be found on any map in storage containers or obtained by scraping armor, helmets, and weapons.
Junk Scrap
This resource is the most accessible material, as almost anything you scrap will provide you with it. This material gets required for a lot of items
Metal Scrap
Metal Scrap is one of the most common to find and get, and it gets used to craft most armor, helmets, backpacks, and weapons.
Fabric
Fabric is a valuable crafting resource in Marauders. It is slightly harder to get than the previous materials. Yet, it gets required for crafting high-tier backpacks, armor, and helmets. Sometimes fabric can be obtained by scrapping armor, helmets, and bags.
Leather Strip
Leather Strip is easy to find during raids and can get very useful for crafting armor such as the Plate Rig, which offers Heavy Chest Protection.
Metal Sheet
Metal Sheets are also widespread. You can find this necessary crafting resource during raids in Marauders. It can help you craft armor as well as a few other items.
Gunpowder
Gunpowder is also very necessary for crafting weapons, such as the Mat-49. Crafting is one of the best ways to get the top-tier, best weapons in Marauders. Without crafting, it would be very challenging to find the weapons and their ammunition.
Metal Sheet
The Metal Sheets are also widespread to find during raids and can help you craft armor.
Tool Kit
Tool Kits are mainly used to craft essential containers when your storage is full of items. The crafting resources are somewhat rare in Marauders and are therefore valuable. Thus, stick to them as soon as you find one.

Some items in Marauders have more relevance than others, and here we will list the most that are considered essential.
Light Bag
The Light Bag is the Jack Of All Trades of backpacks in Marauders, as it offers decent storage and can get crafted with only 2 Synthetic Scraps. If you want a little extra storage space at a low risk of losing it, get to crafting this item in Marauders.
Commando Backpack
The Commando Backpack offers excellent storage and can get crafted in the menu. This backpack is suitable for Space Pirates who want to take more time in a raid looking for equipment.
Bandage
The Bandage only requires one Synthetic Scrap. It will save your life when you have to replenish some health quickly. With such a low cost, we usually recommend crafting a few bandages before your next Marauders raid.
Small First Aid
Like the Bandage, the Small First Aid kit replenishes more health than the bandage. Yet, it uses only one Synthetic Scrap and one Disinfectant, which is also a very common resource.
Lockpicks are Very Useful Crafting Items in Marauders
The Lockpick is one of the most critical crafting items in Marauders as it will get you access to lock containers and rooms. This useful item can be crafted with only one Metal Scrap, which is another common resource to find.
M1 Helmet
The M1 Helmet offers good protection for three metal scraps and one fabric. It is a fantastic helmet at this relatively low cost. Keep a good stockpile of these crafting resources when playing Marauders, and you will last much longer in your missions.
Plate Rig
The Plate Rig is another crucial piece of armor as it offers heavy chest protection while also providing storage. It can get crafted with common resources such as Metal sheets and Leather Strips, except for Fabric which is not as easy to find.
If you are in need of any solid armor in Marauders, this is a great option for your next crafting job.
Small Container
Small and Large Containers will play a massive role once you get your inventory full of equipment, so we highly recommend you craft either one as soon as you get the chance. For the Small Container, you only need three Synthetic Scraps, two Metal Scraps, and one Tool Kit.
For the Large Container, you need five Synthetic Scraps, three Metal Scraps, two Reinforced Metal, two Tool Kits, and two Cables.
