Creating the perfect weapon and warframe build for each situation is one of the most important aspects of Warframe. When you are equipping mods on your warframes and weapons, you might tend to swap them out from time to time. However, some mods are too powerful and fit almost every build. An example of one of these great mods is Weeping Wounds in Warframe.
Weeping Wounds is a fantastic mod for melee weapons. Players should farm this melee mod as quickly as possible. Yet, the only way to obtain this mod is by trading with another player or completing bounties.
Luckily for everyone that the method I will detail below is much easier to obtain Weeping Wounds than a few years ago. Players were only able to obtain this mod from an Acolyte event. This was an event that only happened once a year. This made Weeping Wounds extremely valuable and expensive on the trade market. No need to worry about that anymore now that it is moved to the Cambion Drift bounty drops.
Let’s jump into what makes Weeping Wounds so good and how to get this essential mod.
Why Is Weeping Wounds Essential for Melee Builds?
Weeping Wounds in Warframe is so essential for melee weapons is because of the mod’s increase in status effect chance. At rank 0, Weeping Wounds has a +6.7% status chance per Combo Multiplier. At rank 5 this percentage is increased to 40%. This is a huge increase and it is easy enough to raise your melee combo counter.
With this mod and maxing the player’s melee Combo Multiplier, certain weapons can reach a 100% status chance. This means that every enemy you hit with your melee weapon will be applied a status effect. The status effect will depend on your weapon and other mods installed. As an example, many other melee builds may also include the Blood Rush Warframe mod in order to increase critical strike damage.
Some status effects can debuff the enemy with decreased accuracy, slower fire rate, slower movement speed, or lowering their armor. While others will do additional damage over time or apply a stacking debuff that allows you to do more damage to them.
Where To Get the Weeping Wounds Mod in Warframe?
Getting Weeping Wounds isn’t hard by any means, but it does require some RNG. And RNG is rarely on the player’s side, but who knows you might get lucky. Anyway, to get Weeping Wounds you will need to complete bounties.
Bounties are missions with various objectives that need to be completed. Bounties can have 3, 4, or 5 stages. Completing each stage will reward an item in the loot pool. The Weeping Wounds mod is can found in this pool.
Back to the topic, you will need to go to Necralisk, located in Deimos, and talk to Mother. If you haven’t already, you will need to complete the Heart of Deimos quest to access the bounties from Mother. Once the bounty board is open, search for level 15-25 bounties. The Warframe Weeping Wounds mod can appear in the uncommon section of the possible rewards list.
Farming Bounties
If you see Weeping Wounds in the possible rewards list, start the bounty. These shouldn’t take too long. Once you are done, you will be rewarded with loot from the possible rewards list. Hopefully, you got all the items you were looking for and Weeping Willow. If not, you will have to find and run another bounty. Keep doing this until you get your desired reward.
If you don’t see Weeping Wounds in any of the level 15-25 bounties, you will need to wait until the bounties reset. Luckily this isn’t too long. Unlike other games that have you wait a day, Warframe bounties refresh every two and half hours. You can do something else in the game or take a break and come back to check if it is there.
Trading for Warframe Weeping Wounds Mod
Your last resort is to trade for it. Now that most people can farm for it, the price for it is quite low. So if you are too lazy to farm for it and don’t mind spending some currency, try trading for it.
Conclusion
That’s it, it is that simple. Weeping Wounds isn’t too difficult to get, but it might take some time depending on your luck. We all know how RNG loves to not give us items when we want them, then keep handing them out like candy once we have them. The increase in status chance based on your combo multiplier makes this card essential for most melee weapons. Status effects are important if you want to increase your damage to enemies.
