Ready or Not is considered the spiritual successor of the beloved SWAT 4 and the older Rainbow Six franchise. Fans of these classic games are thrilled with Ready or Not. The game has fantastic graphics, immersive levels, and an ever-improving AI capability.
Yet, all of that demands a relatively powerful setup for any PC gamer looking to play the game. Therefore, many fans of the tactical shooter genre have been wondering if and when Ready or Not will be released on Xbox One or Xbox X|S.
Is Ready or Not Available on Consoles?
At this moment, Ready or Not is not available on any console. In fact, Ready or Not is only playable on PC through steam. It is currently on Early Access. Despite that, fans have been begging Void Interactive to bring the game to consoles so everyone can enjoy this fantastic tactical, first-person shooter.
Why Ready or Not isn’t on Xbox?
The primary reason Ready or Not isn’t playable on Xbox One is that the game would need to be heavily downgraded in order to function properly on the console. Ready or Not’s current level of graphics and immersion is only possible because it is a PC-exclusive game. If Ready or Not were to come to Xbox One, the game would need to be significantly less graphically demanding to run properly.
Additionally, Ready or Not is still in Early Access. This means that the game is not yet completed, and there are still many bugs that need to be fixed. It’s possible that once Ready or Not leaves Early Access, it will be ported to Xbox One. But at this moment, there is no indication that this will happen.

Ready or Not is an online co-op tactical first-person shooter that requires teamwork and communication like no other to succeed in a mission. Even though this might not be the style of console gaming, fans have shown tons of desire to play Ready or Not on the Xbox One.
Currently, Void Interactive is focusing on developing the game properly before moving forward. As a result, the game is only available on PC. Yet, Void Interactive has shown interest in bringing the game to consoles. This may include the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and even the Nintendo Switch.
Furthermore, Games such as Insurgency Sandstorm have proven that they can work well on consoles, especially with crossplay, so players from any platform can play with their friends.
Final Thoughts on the Future of Ready or Not
Void Interactive claimed Ready or Not console release may or may not be on their plans, depending on the reception of the game when it’s fully finished and out of Early Access. At this time, one of their more pressing priorities is introducing PvP in Ready or Not. This is something that would really increase the replayability of this otherwise fantastic tactical shooter.
