Ready or Not, developed by Void Interactive, has been an incredibly successful game among the first-person tactical shooter community. Players that seek a more realistic, grounded, and tactical experience have found everything they were looking for in this game.
Ready or Not offers grounded gameplay and incredible features, such as an armory with weapons of all kinds that go from non-lethal and lethal, great customization options for weapons, and character equipment. Players in this game can customize almost anything from headgear to armor, grenades, and more.
Moreover, on the gameplay side of things, Ready or Not offers a tense, methodical and tactical experience for those that prefer a more realistic experience. Ready or Not is a slow-paced game where communication and intel are everything to survive and succeed. With the right group of friends, this game can be very entertaining.
In this current era in the gaming industry, gamers choose how they play on whatever platform they want to play. Thankfully the gaming industry has expanded so much that it allows players to select their hardware of preference and how they want to use it. Controller support is a must for almost every new game, and here you can find out if Ready or Not can be played with a controller and how to accomplish it.
Overview of Controller Support on PC
It is true that the most optimal way to play, especially first-person shooter games where aiming skills come into play, Mouse and Keyboard is the best option. But also, for players that want to play racing or sports on a PC, the controller is hands-down the best way to play them.
Some players don´t like the mouse and keyboard and prefer a controller.
Currently, most games on PC offer controller support for those who want to play with one, and one of the most accessible is an Xbox controller. Xbox controllers are plug-and-play, while Playstation controllers can require some tweaking and third-party software in some specific cases.
Does Ready or Not Has Controller Support?
Unfortunately, Ready or Not does not currently offer controller support on PC as VOID Interactive has made clear that they are focusing on gameplay and content for the game. Ready or Not is now in early access. Void Interactive still has several features to add based on their roadmaps, such as PvP, more levels, game modes, and controller support. Most likely, adding controller support to Ready or Not might complicate the addition of content the developers are working on right now.
Players have found different ways to play Ready or Not with various controllers. Keep reading to learn how to enable controller support in Ready or Not.
Is Ready or Not Available on Consoles?
Currently, Ready or Not is unavailable on consoles and can only be played on PC. Bringing Ready or Not to other platforms is another project in Void Interactive’s plans, as they have shown interest in moving the game to consoles.
Void Interactive hasn’t released any official statements that can provide the community with an estimate of when the game will release on Consoles. For more information, feel free to check out our summary and anticipated release information for Ready or Not on Xbox One and other consoles.

How To Play Ready or Not with a Playstation Controller?
It works similarly to the Xbox, but you must trick your PC into thinking your Playstation controller is an Xbox controller.
We recommend software like DS4Windows, which emulate an Xbox Controller through a Playstation Dualshock. This workaround provides PlayStation controller support for Ready or Not players.
How To Instal DS4Windows
- Download the software and unzip it at the desired directory
- Open DS4Windows.exe
- Install .NET Runtime and click Yes
- Follow the instructions on the screen
- Click Install ViGEmBus Driver
- Follow the steps provided on the screen to install the driver
- Click Install HidHide Driver
- Click Finished
- Connect your Playstation controller to the PC to play Ready or Not with the newly supported controller
We highly advise you to check all the instructions on DS4Windows Website for further information.
Once you do this, Steam should recognize your Dualshock as an Xbox controller, and now you must follow the same steps provided for Xbox controllers.
Can I Play Ready or Not with a Steam Deck?
Thankfully, you can play Ready or Not with a Steam Deck without any setups.
Final Thoughts
There you go; hopefully, now you will be able to play Ready or Not with a controller of your preference. Keep in mind that this is not officially supported yet by Void Interactive so it won’t be perfect, and for some specific actions, you might have to use Mouse and Keyboard.
