Argon Crystals are a rare but often necessary resource needed for dozens of different weapons, Warframes, and Prime parts. These Argon Crystals always have a habit of being around when you don’t need them and are never around when you do. We will quickly go over how and where to farm Argon Crystals not to waste precious crafting time.
Why Argon Crystals Can be Hard to Find in Warframe
Most Warframe players know why Argon Crystals are always a pain to farm, but we will give a brief explanation for those newer to the game. Argon Crystals are a unique resource that starts to decay and are eventually destroyed in your inventory over the course of 24 hours.
The in-game reason is that these Argon Crystals can only survive in the Void, so they begin to decay once taken out. In short, once you pick up an Argon Crystal, you have a full day to use it. Even if you acquire more Argon Crystals later, the timer does not reset on the previous set of crystals.

Where to Farm Argon Crystals
Argon Crystals are only found within Warframe in the Void, so naturally, that is the only place to look for drops. Void corrupted enemies in Warframe drop Argon Crystals. Additionally, they can be rarely found in natural deposits in the Void.
The entire void mission sets range from Survival, Sabotage, Exterminate, and Capture missions. If you need a lot of Argon Crystals, more extended missions like Survival or Exterminate are best. Head over to Mot or Ani if you want to run a few survival missions. If Exterminate missions sound better, go to Oxomoco or Teshhub.
If you want a faster mission but a lower chance of obtaining Argon Crystals, you can run a few capture missions like Hepit or Ukko. Capture the target as usual, and run around the level, killing any enemies and checking every room for Argon Crystal nodes.
Faster Farming
If you plan to run fast Capture missions, using a Warframe that focuses on Speed can be helpful. Volt or Gauss can help check every room on the level very quickly. However, this method is only suitable for taking a quick but low chance at obtaining one or two Argon Crystals. We still recommend farming in Survival or Extermination missions for the better drop rates from the high number of enemies both mission types bring.
The best way to get the most out of your farming time is to bring the right Warframes, gear, and mods to maximize your Argon Crystal drop rate chances. Nekros is regarded as the best farming Warframe in the game for many reasons. Nekros are the best because of their Desecrate ability, giving corpses an additional chance to drop loot.
The Despoil Augment for Desecrate removes the energy cost and takes a small amount of HP with every corpse Desecrate is used on. This removes the concern to turn off the ability before you run out of energy. Desecrate also counts the individual cut-up pieces of a corpse. Therefore, utilize Slash damage on your weapons to get more drops from every corpse.

Other Places to Get an Argon Crystal in Warframe
Argon Crystals also have a chance of dropping from containers and lockers. Warframes with high AOE abilities like Ember, Nova, or any explosive weapon will help break containers with ease. If for whatever reason, you want to increase your locker farming, there are the Master Thief and Scavenge mods. Yet, we don’t recommend using them due to lockers being limited per level.
One last place to farm Argon Crystals reliably is whenever you encounter Corrupted Vor. Vor has a chance of appearing in high-level void missions. Every time he is defeated in Warfame, he has a 50/50 chance of dropping an Argon Crystal or an Orokin Cell. One of the missions we mentioned previously is Mot, a survival mission that is one of the few areas Vor has a chance to spawn in.
Conclusion
That was our method for acquiring Argon Crystals in Warframe quickly. While they are relatively easy to obtain, Argon Crystals are the only resource in Warframe that will decay and vanish from your inventory. This makes them a constant need since storing them long-term is impossible. Hopefully, this short guide has helped cut the downtime needed to farm these void crystals.
