Warframe has been around for 9 years. That is a long time for a game to be still popular. Players continue to play Warframe because of how much content is in the game for being a completely free game. Warframes are also another reason to keep playing. There are currently over 40 Warframes in the game and each one comes with its own special abilities. Players (including myself) love collecting Warframes, leveling them, and creating a build for them. It is a very addicting gameplay loop.
Furthermore, weapons can also be leveled and modded how you like them. The modding system is simple, yet effective enough that players will have different builds and can customize it to their playstyle. You can mod your weapon with various mods that provide different stats. Mods can give increased status effect chance or increased damage, some give damage to both. This is where the Malignant Force warframe mod comes in. It is a valuable dual stat mod that can be applied to rifles.
In this article, I will tell you what Malignant Force is, how to get it, and what other mods it can pair well with. Let’s get into it!
What Is Malignant Force?
Malignant Force is a dual stat mod. It increases both the Toxin damage and status chance of a rifle by 15%. At max rank (Rank 3), the Toxin damage and status chance increase to 60%. Malignant Force is great for people who want to stack status chance and create a “rainbow” status build. A “rainbow” build is stacking different elemental mods on a weapon to get as much elemental damage and debuffs as possible.
How To Get Malignant Force in Warframe
Getting Malignant Force used to be a pain. Considering it was only a limited reward for participating in The Cicero Crisis. However, it is much easier to obtain. It is probably best to do the following method with a group, but doing it solo is doable as well. If your character is strong enough. Anyway, players can get Malignant Force from Corrupted Vor. Corrupted Vor can be found in level 40-60 Orokin Void missions.
You will know when Corrupted Vor has spawned because he will begin to taunt you. Continue to complete your objective while taking out Corrupted Vor. Once you have defeated Corrupted Vor, he has a chance to drop one of four mods in Warframe: Malignant Force, Virulent Scourge, Pistol Pestilence, and Toxic Barrage. All of these are dual mods with toxic damage and status chance. If you are using a rifle, you will want Malignant Force. If you don’t get it the first time, you will have to run the mission again until he drops the one you want.
It’s that simple, Corrupted Vor isn’t too tough, and most players should be able to take him out easily enough. However, if you are a beginner, with very few mods and your guns aren’t leveled up, it is best to run with a group. The last option is to trade with other players for it. This is a good option if you are a beginner. Malignant Force is relatively cheap to buy, so that may be a good option for a quick damage boost.
Mods That Pair Well With Malignant Force
Malignant Force in Warframe can be paired with other mods to make a great combo. Here are a few mods that could prove useful. These are just quick builds, you will still have mod space left to mix and match other mods as well.
