Warframe is a massive game that is always adding many new things for players to do. Players know that to get most Warframes and items, you will have to craft them. Crafting takes valuable resources. First, you need to farm hundreds, sometimes thousands of these resources. Then you need to find the actual blueprint parts of the item that you want. These will require you to build them individually, using even more precious resources. It is safe to say the materials and resources play a valuable part in Warframe gameplay. Some resources and materials are also used as currency for some vendors. One of the most sought after resources in Warframe is Pyrol.
In Warframe, there are multiple ways to earn this material, which we will cover in a moment. Pyrol is a unique example of a resource that is used in only 2 blueprints and used to increase your rank with a certain syndicate. But Pyrol is so precious because the 2 blueprints that it builds into are then turned into other valuable resources. These resources are then used to create weapons, cosmetics, and even part of a Warframe.
Alright, let’s jump right into how to farm Pyrol in Warframe and what exactly this rare resource is used for.
How To Get Pyrol
There are two ways to get Pyrol in Warframe, both are easy to accomplish and don’t require any bosses to fight. You might have to fight some enemies with large health pools though.
Mining Pyrol on the Plains of Eidolon
The first way of getting them is by mining them. You can find this item on the Plains of Eidolon. Near the Twin Horns location. Once there, you will need to look for red mineral veins. Pyrol can be found in these veins. Players will need a cutter or drill. It is recommended to have the best cutter or drill available to have the smoothest mining process.
Farming Pyrol in Warframe
The second method is farming it from certain enemies. These enemies should also be near the same general area that you are mining. Fighting these enemies shouldn’t be too much of a challenge for a Warframe veteran. However, if you are a beginner, they might be a bit too tanky for you at the moment. Either way, these enemies, known as Thumpers, are great for farming different kinds of resources. This includes Pyrol as well. Depending on the type of Thumper you kill, they will have different drop chances of dropping the Pyrol material for you.
The following list shows the percentage for the various Thumper types:
- Narmer Thumper Doma – 33.36% drop chance
- Tusk Thumper Doma – 33.36% drop chance
- Narmer Thumper Bull – 25.02% drop chance
- Tusk Thumper Bull – 25.02% drop chance
- Narmer Thumper – 16.68% drop chance
- Tusk Thumper – 16.68% drop chance
These enemies appear all around the map and spawn on certain timers. Continually roaming and looking for Thumpers. Destroying them is a great way to farm Pyrol in Warframe.

What Is Pyrol Used For in Warframe?
Pyrol has multiple uses in Warframe. If you want to increase your rank with the Ostron syndicate, you will need to use 40 Pyrol as a tribute, along with credits and other resources.
The main thing Pyrol is used for is creating two blueprints for resources. These resources are Pyrotic Alloy and Tempered Bapholite. Pyrotic Alloy is very important if you want to craft the Warframe Gara. Pyrotic Alloy is also needed to craft many Zaw-type blueprints and other cosmetic items.
Tempered Bapholite is great to have if you want to craft the melee weapon Vitrica and the Necramech Bonewidow. Also, this resource is useful if you want to craft various parts for an Arch-Gun and other weapons. Decorations such as trophies can also be crafted if you wish to do.
There you have it, all the ways to obtain Pyrol in Warframe and what it is used for.
