Cobblestone is a map with a lot of history in the Counter-Strike series. The map, which used to be called just Cobble, was included in the original CS: Source game. Cobblestone was not included in the original launch of CSGO. Yet, because of the map’s popularity, it was brought back into the series with the Winter Offensive content update launch.

What makes Cobblestone unique in CSGO is that it features many shear drops and high vertical perches. This makes the game especially fun for snipers to play. With such dynamic map regions, it’s important to know all of the callouts on Cobblestone in CSGO. You’re in luck because we’ve assembled a collection of every single callout to help make sure you are able to communicate quickly and easily with your teammates.

    What are Callouts in CSGO?

For anyone who doesn’t know what a map callout is, it’s a quick and easy reference that you can “call out” to your teammates to let them know precisely where to look or go on the map. You no longer need to provide long or confusing descriptions to help your teammates know what you mean. Instead, just use one of the simple Cobblestone callouts listed below in your next CSGO match.

Cobblestone can be hectic and overwhelming,  so it’s handy to call out shorthand information to your teammates. Thus, you should learn the callouts. Callouts are special words that refer to various places in CSGO maps. By knowing this shorthand, you will be able to coordinate with your teammates more efficiently and outwit a less organized enemy.

Here we have compiled a list of all the names and descriptions of the Cobblestone callouts.

DropThough technically this refers to the room you drop into from B Halls, the Drop Room / Drop callout is often used to describe the region before Drop Room, including the stairs up to it and the little platform that looks over into Drop. Also known as Dropper.

RockA little rock to the immediate right upon exiting Electric that is a popular holding spot.

SnakeThe halls that lead from T Ramp / T Mid to D Lore Art. It got its name from its snake-like form. This stairway is also notable for the barred window that overlooks it.
PatioThe patio area between T Ramp and D Lore.
Also known as Dragon Lore, D Lore Art, Dragon Lore Art.
Mid PlatformThe platform that looks out over T Mid and connects to the Dragon Lore Art chamber. Also known as Mid Plat, Mid Patio.
StatueThe stone statue between T Spawn and T Mid.
SkyThe space between the drop and the steps leading up to it.
CubbyThe dip in the wall at the end of A Long (closest to A Site) that players are hard to spot when within.

Some of these map callouts for Cobblestone in CSGO may sound funny at first, but they’re a part of a more than decade-old vocabulary. Certain of these callouts will display below your mini-map as you move across the map, while others may not. This is primarily because some areas of the map were named after specific items or other in-game aspects.

Knowing the callouts for additional maps will only help you in the long term, especially if you’re considering becoming a professional CS: GO career. After all, no one wants to be the player on their team who can’t understand the team chatter!

Cobblestone is unquestionably one of the most iconic levels in Counter-Strike. The map is far from perfect, but its unique terrain makes it many a preferred choice for players. For snipers who love those great AWP skins in CSGO, this map is just one of the best places to play.

    Final Thoughts

If you want to make it far in CSGO’s competitive eSports scene or you just want to communicate better with your teammates, you need to learn all of CSGO’s Cobblestone map callouts. When you can say everything you need in a few words, you’ll be ready for the fast-paced teamwork required to win matches.

Are you a Counter-Strike Global Offensive veteran? Do you commonly use callouts, or do you struggle with just simple phrases? We’d love to hear from you on how useful you find the callouts when playing the Cobblestone map in CSGO.
