Dust 2 (II) is, without a doubt, the most renowned and iconic map of CS:GO. Moreover, it has consistently been one of the most loved Counter-Strike: Global Offensive maps among the player base since its release in 2001.
Before the official launch of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, David Johnston created Dust II, as a sequel to his original Counter-Strike map, “Dust”. It was created to maintain simplicity and balance, based on its symmetrical design and two sides, over which the opposing teams must contend for control. Dust 2 has been a constant part of CSGO gameplay, and competitions and will continue to be the venue of choice for the top Counter-Strike players to demonstrate their expertise in the game.

|CT Spawn||CT Spawn is where the players of the Counter Terrorist side start on the map Dust II.|
|T Ramp||This ramp part descends from T Spawn to the area outside B Tunnels. This CSGO callout on Dust 2 only refers to the ramp portion, rather than the elevated high platform.|
|T Platform (T Plat)||The Dust 2 map callout for T Platform or T Plat in short form is the elevated walkway that connects T Spawn to the area outside B Tunnels. It has a number of brick stacks that can be utilized as vantage points from which to peak B Tunnels.|
|Tunnels||The tunnels section provides access to mid, T Spawn, and Bombsite B. The entire compartment is covered off from the top, making it impossible for grenades to enter or leave the space referred to by this callout on CSGO’s Dust 2 map.|
|Upper B Tunnels||One of B Tunnels’ two parts is Upper Tunnels. It starts at the T Spawn access to the B Tunnels and continues all the way to the tunnel entrance leading to the B bombsite.|
|Lower B Tunnels||One of B Tunnels’ two parts is the Lower Tunnels. It starts at the stairs that lead from the Upper Tunnels into the hallway connecting the Tunnels to mid and finishes at the doorway into mid.|
|Close||It’s a rough callout, yet this is typically how the left corner is referenced when a terrorist enters the B site from the B Tunnels.|
|B Car||If you enter through the middle, this is the vehicle on B site to the right of Tunnels Exit and to the left of B Doors.|
|Fence||This wall on B Site is gated off and can serve as a hiding place until the Ts have advanced from the Tunnels to B site.|
|B Platform||Directly across from the B Tunnels exit, this raised portion of the B bombsite is the location where the bomb can be planted.|
|B Back Site||This CSGO Dust 2 callout refers to the back portion of the B bombsite.|
|B Default Plant||Where on the B Site the bomb is most frequently planted. It is close to B Window, on the side of B Doors, and hugs the brick wall.|
|B Window||This is the gap in the brick wall at the B site, which is lifted off the ground using many boxes as a platform.|
|B Doors||The doors that link B bombsite to CT Mid.|
|B Boxes||The compartment boxes between B Doors and CT Mid. They are frequently utilized as a cover to spot and attack players trying to move from mid to B.|
|Big Box||This is the large box that rests in the middle of the B site. The bomb site and B Plat are separated by it.|
|Double Stack||The two boxes that are stacked on top of the other at the center of the B bombsite are the focus of this callout.|
|Scaffolding||This is the scaffolding that is located just outside B, by B Window. They can be walked on to provide a convenient vantage point to hold mid to B pushes.|
|Mid||The sector that is in the middle of the map, running from Mid Doors to Mid’s peak. Typically, “Mid” refers to the portion of Mid that slopes.|
|CT Mid||The area connecting B Site, Mid, and CT Spawn is referred to with this callout. This space is next to CT Spawn and is hidden behind mid doors.|
|Mid Doors||The doors that divide mid from CT mid.|
|Hiko||If you were walking from Mid to CT Spawn from Mid Doors, the corner on the right. It is frequently referred to as Hiko since an American professional player Hiko’s incredible kill at this position.|
|Xbox||The container in Mid by the doors from which you can enter Catwalk and A Short. It is located across from the Lower B Tunnels exit.|
|Palm||The former Palm Tree, is now a telephone mast and is located close to Catwalk near the top of the mid.|
|Catwalk||This common CSGO Dust 2 callout refers to the elevated path that runs along the Mid right side and connects to A Short and the A Bombsite.|
|Top Mid||The upper section of the mid that can be spotted if you’re peaking up toward T Spawn from Mid Doors is Top Mid. This links Mid and Suicide.|
|Suicide||The area from which one can run directly to Top Mid after jumping off of T Spawn.|
|Long Doors||The doors that connect Outside Long to A Long.|
|Outside Long||On the T Spawn side of the map, this is the open area next to Long Doors.|
|Blue||The blue cargo crate that can be seen in front of A Long Doors is referred to by this callout.|
|Pit||The sloping area that lies at the end of A Long and outside Long Doors.|
|Car||The car that is parked on A Long’s right side when arriving through A Long.|
|A Cross||The space that borders A Long from A Site, where terrorists have to cross|
|A Ramp||The “A Ramp” CSGO callout on the Dust 2 map refers to the ramp leading up to the A Bombsite through A Cross.|
|Goose||The area behind A Site, in which the wall is covered in a spray of a goose.|
|Short Boost||The containers immediately outside CT Spawn on the A site. These can be utilized to boost CTs onto A Short more quickly than sprinting there through cross or A short.|
|Stairs||The stairway that connects A Short to Catwalk.|
|A Ninja||If the Ts all come from A Long and don’t clear this position, the CTs can utilize this hiding spot behind the pile of boxes on the A Short side of A to Ninja diffuse the bomb plant.|
