Where to Get Neural Sensors in Warframe

Neural Sensors are one among the many highly sought resources in Warframe. Neural Sensors are especially sought after for their frequent use in constricting dozens of Warframes, or Prime Warframes. We will give you a quick guide showcasing where the best places are to farm Neural Sensors and how to acquire them efficiently.

Where is the Best Place to Farm Neural Sensors in Warframe?

Neural Sensors are primarily found on Jupiter and the Kuva Fortress due to their Grineer design and origins. While Jupiter does have a handful of spots, there is one that’s far more efficient to run that we must mention first. On Jupiter, there’s an assassination mission on Themisto where you fight Alad V.

With an average-speed Warframe with a powerful weapon setup, you can complete one entire run of Themisto in about three minutes. A typical run of Themisto and defeating Alad V will typically have a 50% chance of giving you one or two Neural Sensors per run. You can gain even more Neural Sensors in Warframe if you have any Resource Boosters or Resource Drop Chance Boosters.

How to Farm Neural Sensors Quickly

If you have a fast Warframe like Gauss, Wukong, or Titania, you can defeat Alad V and extract in under two minutes. The level is lengthy, and enemies leading up to Alad V’s boss fight have an incredibly low chance, or it’s impossible to gain any extra Neural Sensors from them. However, we did grab a few additional Neural Sensors by destroying a few crates along the way to Alad V’s boss room.

Using an explosive weapon could grab you a few extra Warframe Neural Sensors, especially if you have a Recourse Drop Chance Booster or a Smeeta Kavat with the Charm mod equipped. If you would rather stay on a mission for an extended period rather than constantly entering and exiting one mission, we recommend farming at Cameria on Jupiter.

More Challenging, Yet More Rewarding Locations for Farming

Cameria is not only a survival mission but also a Dark Sector mission. For those newer to Warframe, a Dark Sector mission is a level with an extra effect or buff. Cameria has an additional 20% Resource Drop Chance Bonus and a 15% Affinity Bonus if you want to level some weapons.

Another great location to get some neural sensors in Warfame is at the Kuva Fortress. Neural Sensors have a chance of dropping from all missions or tile sets from the Kuva Fortress, but there are a few areas we prioritize. Tavenuni is an excellent survival mission to farm Neural Sensors since the mission is endless, and you can farm dozens of enemies at once with the right team composition.

In Tavenuni, there is a unique distinction called Kuva Survival. In addition to what a typical survival mission has, Kuva Fortress also gives you the ability to farm extra Kuva. During the mission, Lotus notifies you that the Grineer are harvesting Kuva, which players can intercept.

Optional Additional Objective while Farming Neural Sensors in Warframe

It’s an optional objective whenever a life support capsule is deployed; an Eximus unit will spawn and drop a Kuva Catalyst when killed. You can infuse this catalyst with a life support capsule to turn it into a Kuva Harvester. If you successfully defend the Kuva Harvester, you will reward all players with 200 Kuva. It’s a nice side objective to gain some extra loot. Yet, it does sacrifice one of your life support capsules. Therefore, only complete this side objective if you have extra to spare.

    Warframe Recommendations

Whenever we choose to farm, we always recommend bringing Nekros. This is due to his Desecrate ability that forces corpses to spawn extra loot when Necros is nearby. Desecrate also works better with Slash damage. When an enemy dies to Slash damage, their corpse is cut up into several pieces. This effect allows Desecrate to force extra loot drops from each extra part of the corpse.

This combination enables Nekros to get between one to five loot drops from one enemy. This speeds up all farming, including when you are looking to get more Neural Sensors in Warframe.

    Other Potential Warframes

Other Warframes we recommend bringing to survival missions are:

    • Vauban
    • Khora
    • Ember
    • Octavia
    • Mesa
    • Mirage

Vauban has excellent crowd control, which sets up a lot of AOE cleave damage with Bastille. Khora locks down an area with her cage and brings a ton of crowd control with Strangledome. Ember has lots of raw AOE fire damage, and Octavia brings a lot of utility to her team with stealth, damage buffs, and free energy gain. Lastly, Mesa picks off tons of enemies from afar with her Peacemaker, and Mirage also has a ton of AOE with Sleight of Hand and Prism. Any of these choices are great picks when you need to get more neural sensors in Warframe.

Of course, any Warframe will work in any survival mission, but we choose these Warframes for their high AOE abilities that would excel at clearing hordes of enemies swiftly and pair great with Nekros.

Suppose you would rather play a defense mission. We also recommend heading to Nabuk. The Warframes we previously recommended for survival missions would also work great on defense. However, we would also recommend Frost, Limbo, or Gara since they are built for defense.

Wrap Up on Farming Neural Sensors in Warframe

Killing Alad V is significantly faster and, overall, the best way to farm Neural Sensors in Warframe. However, we often choose Kuva Fortress for the extra Kuva you can gain while farming Neural Sensors. We would also like to mention IO on Jupiter as an honorary mention since you can farm about two Neural Sensors per wave with Nekros just from using Desecrate.

It’s also worth mentioning that sending Distilling Extractors to Jupiter or the Kuva Fortress can potentially give you a few extra Neural Sensors every eight hours in Warframe, but the chances are small. Upgrading to a Distilling Extractor Prime can increase your passive income but doesn’t increase the drop chance. It’s still a great way to passively farm most resources you need while you are not playing Warframe.
