HROT Chapter 2 has dozens of well-kept secret areas scattered throughout every level. Like most boomer shooter secrets, these can be found behind destructible walls, parkour jumps, hidden switches, and more. HROT’s hidden areas are difficult to find and can give even the best secret hunters some trouble in locating them all.
This comprehensive guide will quickly and easily highlight all the secret locations in the second chapter of HROT and provide their respective locations with screenshots to help you find them easily.
All Secrets in HROT Chapter 2
We’ll start off with the secrets and other hidden areas in the first level of HROT: Chapter 2. We’ll then move through each level, in turn, uncovering every secret for you.
E2M1: Tocnik Castle
Secret 1
Immediately at the start of the map, there is an electrical panel above the corridor you spawn in. Shoot it, and move back into the corridor to find an open area on the left, where you will find a Hussite Hand Cannon.
Secret 2
In the room where two Headsman guard a wardrobe, your next secret awaits. After clearing out the room, proceed to open the wardrobe, loot its contents, and then break it. Once the wardrobe is broken, a pathway will be revealed, guiding you towards a set of stairs. Following these stairs will lead you to the coveted Lightning Gun.
Secret 3
You can find the next HROT secret close by. In the hidden area where you found the Lightning Gun, follow the passage around to the left until you find a Headsmen. Interact with the wall that the Headsmen were guarding, and another secret passage will open, leading you to a second Pistol.
Secret 4
Immediately after exiting the hidden passageway, turn right and ascend a flight of stairs. Once at the top, interact with the wall on the right, and another hidden passageway will be revealed.

Secret 5
On the battlements overlooking the yard, there is a stone switch that you can press. Pressing it will lower a section of the wall, giving you a Submachine Gun.
Secret 6
In the yard below the battlements, there is a small crack in the wall on the left side. Blow it open to reveal another hidden area in HROT. Within, you will find a Calvaria of Čáslav.
Secret 7
Once you have descended underground and reached the first valve, there is an interactive wall directly across from the two Hazmat Suits. You can lower the secret wall before interacting with the valve or after fighting the Hazmat Suits.
Secret 8
In the first room of the area below the barn, there is an interactive wall behind the stairs. Opening it will reveal the final secret of the level.
E2M2: Uranium Mine
Secret 1
After progressing through the level, you will come across a malfunctioning machine with a Submachine Gun on top. Navigate to the railing overlooking the machine and run to the end until you see an Omega symbol painted on the wall. Jump and interact with the wall to unlock the first secret.
Secret 2
Once you reach the metal catwalk that crosses a pool with a button that opens a door, stop and jump off to the left. Swim through a narrow passage to uncover the next easter egg in HROT. You will find a Hussite Hand Cannon to help you out against those pesky enemies.
Secret 3
Before climbing back up to the catwalk, swim through the passage on the right side of the catwalk and look up. There will be a cracked wall that you can open with your Hussite Hand Cannon from the previous secret area in HROT. Within you will find more hidden goodies.
Secret 4
In the room with the Rusted key, there is an electrical panel tucked into the right corner of the ceiling. Shoot it to open a nearby passageway that will give you a second Pistol.
Secret 5
Once you start riding the train and it passes through the first set of safety doors, there is a small pool beside the tracks that you must jump into to find the fifth secret in this level of HROT Chapter 2.
Secret 6
In the room with the valve next to the Aluminum Key door, there is another omega symbol painted on the right of the wall. Interact with the wall for some extra health pickups.
Secret 7
In the room directly across from the last secret, there is a cracked wall next to a switch you need to flip to progress.
Secret 8
On the stairs to the locker room, there is a drain on the wall after going down a few steps. Interact with the drain, and the wall will open, revealing a Wifebeater.
Secret 9
In the same air duct where you got the Wifebeater from the previous secret, make a right and drop down into another passageway where you will find a Ball Lightning Launcher.
E2M3: Velhartice
Secret 1
When entering the churn grounds, there is a line of graves against the wall. Dig up the second one from the left using your sickle to break the dirt and the coffin until the grave is completely empty. Afterward, interact with the back wall; it will slide open to reveal a hidden crypt.
Secret 2
In the room where you first see the ghost, there is a barrel you can push toward the stairs, underneath a small nook in the wall with a skeleton lying in it. Hop onto the barrel and into the small hole. Alternatively, you can strafe jump into this secret area in HROT without using the barrel.
Secret 3
When climbing out of the crypt, the first room you enter has an open nook with a torch, with a cracked wall. Blow it open to get a Hussite Crossbow.
Secret 4
In the room with the Aluminum Key, there is a stone switch next to the stairs. Press it, then go back up the stairs and swing jump into the open archway, where you will find a Headsmen guarding a Ball Lightning Launcher.
Secret 5
After using the valve to lower the floor, which connects to the well, there is a cracked wall near the revealed opening. Blow it open to get another Pistol.
Secret 6
In the mortuary shed, there is a small corner with two coffins. Jump on top of the coffins and interact with the wall in the right corner, which opens the final secret.
E2M4: Factory Farm
Secret 1
At the start of the level, before you even take a step, turn to your right and interact with the wall for an immediate Wifebeater.
Secret 2
Right past the Aluminum door, there is a small switch hidden in a dark corner on the back right of the room. Press it, and a panel will open, leading to a ladder that takes you to an extra Pistol.
Secret 3
After opening the door to the area past the Rusted Key door, there is a small nook where a second Hazmat Suit and a Kejdovec emerge from. Interact with the left wall to find a Lightning Gun.
Secret 4
In the room where you turn the value to raise the water level, there is an interactive wall across the ledge you can touch after the water level rises. Open it to reveal another HROT secret in the form of a Hussite Hand Cannon.
Secret 5
In the storage room, where you have to climb a bunch of boxes to hit a button, there is a suspended crate with a chain attached to it. Jump onto the crate, then interact with the wall behind it for some extra ammo.
Secret 6
The last secret is hidden behind the May Day sign in the room filled with chickens. Break the cracked wall behind the sign for one Koruna.
E2M5: Kasperk Castle
Secret 1
Right around the first corner where you start the map, there is a heavily rusted section of the wall; interact with it for some health pickups.
Secret 2
Once you reach the battlements, you will come across a wall located behind two barrels. Interacting with this wall will unveil a small room where you can find some additional, hidden health pickups to help you out in HROT.
Secret 3
When you first enter the castle across the catwalk, there is a small campfire tucked in the first room you enter. Above the fire, there is a switch in the ceiling; flip it to open a hidden passageway behind the fire.
Secret 4
When you enter the small room overlooking the yard with a crossbow and inside, there is a small wall you can interact with in the left corner of the room. Opening it will give you some extra health pickups.
Secret 5
On the stairs down into the royal hall, there is an interactive wall on the left. Swing, jump, and interact with the wall, which will open up, revealing a small area.
Secret 6
Like the previous secret, this one is in the royal hall as well. Push one of the chairs over to the platform on the right side of the room, jump up onto the platform, and there is an interactive wall that gives you a Hussite Crossbow.
Secret 7
In the yard, the leftmost door has a second interactive panel in the back, which will reveal some stairs. Climb the stairs, and you will find a Konfident, and beyond them, there’s a final door that leads back into the training yard where you can find a Lightning Gun.
Secret 8
Once you have passed the Aluminum Key door at the top of the stairs, there is an interactive panel in the middle of the long wall on the battlements. Open it to find a hidden, secret, second pistol to help you out in HROT: Chapter 2.
How to Access an Entire Secret Level in HROT: Chapter 2
There is a secret level that can be found on this level. When descending the stairs past the Common Key door, you will hear the sound of a horse. Look up as you continue to walk down the stairs, and you will see an electrical box in the ceiling. Shoot it, and a panel on the right will open up. Jump into the hole that it uncovers, and you will go to the secret level.
E2M6: Dobrosov Fortress
Secret 1
When you start to ascend the staircase, turn right, left, left, right, right, left, and then look up, where you will see a switch tucked into the ceiling. Flip it, and a wall panel will drop behind you.
Secret 2
While you are in the area for the first secret, interact with the back wall inside the first secret to unveil the second secret room holding some cans inside of it.
Secret 3
In the barracks room behind the Common Key door, there is a bunk bed you can break in the right corner of the room. Break it and flip the switch behind it. Using the switch opens a small section in the wall next to the bed frame.
Secret 4
Before leaving the barracks room, push a stone brick next to one of the doors, then descend through the hole in the floor to the drainage adit. Before entering the adit, turn to the left and find a switch attached to a post near the ceiling. Flip it and enter the adit to find a newly opened passageway.
Secret 5
This last secret is quite tricky and may require several attempts, so be sure to quick save before attempting it. It is located past the Rested Key lock where the drops are, until you reach a catwalk.
Once you’re at the edge of the catwalk, turn around and use your Hussite Hand Cannon to perform a rocket jump backward across the catwalk while it falls beneath you. If you manage to successfully execute this maneuver, you will gain access to the final secret area of this HROT level.
E2M7: The Granny’s Valley and All Hidden Secrets Within
Secret 1
There is a hidden panel located behind the Horse Key. Take the opportunity to interact with the panel, and you will discover the first of Granny’s Original plates waiting to be found.
Secret 2
Once you open the water access in the building next to the pond, there’s a tiny opening on the water line that houses an electrical panel.
Shoot it and ascend the ladder to the Horse Key lock. Inside the wall panel where you obtain the Common Key, there is a second panel that contains another Original Plate.
Secret 3
In the mill building, there is a stone switch near the floor on the same side of the room that opens the pillars at the top of the stairs. Flick it, and the locked door in the back of the room will open. There’s also an extra switch in that room that unlocks another Original Plate, but it doesn’t count toward the HROT secret counter.
Secret 4
Once you reveal the ladder in the room with several Headsmen, there is an Omega symbol painted on the wall at the top of the ladder. By now, you should know this indicates the location of a hidden area in HROT.
Secret 5
Once you destroy the outhouse toilet seat and enter the hole, go to the right, and before reaching the bottom, you will land on a ledge just above the floor. Move to the end of the ledge and turn left to find a Pioneer of Socialism token.
Secret 6
On the bottom floor, underneath the 3rd secret, there is a cracked wall in the next room. Blow it up to find a Lightning Gun.
Secret 7
When moving over the platforms in the cavern, there is a pit with a Snake next to a ladder. Eliminate the snake, jump into the pit, and interact with a wall to find a bottle of Wine.
Secret 8 – The Second to Last Secret in Chapter 2 of HROT
Once you reach the lawn in front of the Ratibořice chateau, there is a wall on the right side of the building with an electrical box. Shoot the box and return to the pond, then swim down to where you saw the underwater bollard. Inside, you will find an X2 power-up.
Secret 9 – The Last Hidden Secret in HROT Chapter 2
While swimming back into the pond, there is a small nook in the back of the pond. From the lawn of the Ratibořice chateau, swim to the left and head upward into a small opening to find the last hidden, secret area of HROT Chapter 2 with a Calvaria of Čáslav inside.
