Fortnite has a lot of outfits and skins. And I mean, a lot of them.
In a relatively short lifespan, it’s managed to amass a gigantic catalog of cosmetic items that players can obtain, purchase, and unlock through a variety of means thanks to its fantastically well-timed and brilliantly executed crossover events and collaborations.
This constant stream of revenue and its Battle Pass system have made it one of the most successful entities in the realm of video games (and even media entertainment in general), and its reach permeates into various facets of pop culture and real-life events.
Owing to this immense popularity and global appeal, Epic Games have seemingly made it their mission to do some sort of event or crossover with anyone and everyone to extend their product’s reach, with musical artists like Ariana Grande and Travis Scott, sport stars like Neymar Jr. and LeBron James, and fashion brands such as Air Jordans to name but a few featured in the game.
Today, we’ll be taking a look at all the Fortnite anime skins specifically featured in the game. We will be picking them apart with a fine-tooth comb, and we’ll be ranking them from worst to best based on their visual appeal and, for lack of a better term, “coolness”.
7. Chigusa (Rare Anime Fortnite Skin)
We kick off our Fortnite anime skins list with one of the more obscure ones to get the details out in the open early, we begin our list with the journalist turned vigilante, Chigusa.
There was probably a fair amount of head-scratching going on when Chigusa and her comrades were unveiled. In particular, this was in regards to which cosmetic bundle of what anime series they were related to.
As it turns out, there doesn’t appear to be an actual anime series that exists that incorporates them. However, the Fortnite fanbase never sleeps. They are both ravenous and insightful. Together, they have pieced together and formulated the three character’s lore and backgrounds. They did this from merely the one-sentence description each one of them has in their details/store name.
Part of the “//R.E.M Wakers//” bundle, according to her very brief description she was formerly an aforementioned journalist who’s taken the law into her own hands and has “…sworn to liberate the world from R.E.MCorp’s virtual prison”.
Potentially akin to something like Ready Player One, fans have debated (and continue to debate) about what R.E.M Corp is. Yet, the most popular theory is they are some kind of oppressive and controlling organization that the three heroines fight virtually with their avatars.
Chigusa certainly appears to mean business with her seemingly SWAT-inspired style, sporting a tactical jacket and gloves, along with her black baseball cap adorned with the word “YOUNG”. She polishes off her look with her leg straps (which you would assume would be for more weapons) and black boots.
Date Added/Bundle/Cost/Unlock Method – She can be purchased through the store as part of the Cyber Infiltration Pack for 2,200 V-Bucks. She can also be bought as part of the complete //R.E.M Wakers// set for 3,400 V-Bucks.
6. Yuki (Rare)
Next up on the //R.E.M Wakers// list is the more reserved and docile-looking hacker, Yuki.
To quote her in-game description, “though she seems sweet and shy, this expert hacker is the Wakers’ muscle inside the virtual world.” It’s letting you know that while she might seem like a gentle soul, Yuki is the brains behind the R.E.M Wakers’ operation. Yet, by no means does that mean she can’t handle herself in a scuffle.
Yuki dons a big white puffy jacket (that might potentially be a snowboarding jacket) that contrasts sharply against her deep, dark green hair.
Beneath her cosy top layer she sports a grey pleated skirt, and finishes off her look with her chunky white skater-esque sneakers.
Yuki, unlike Chigusa, also has a variant to her skin. In this variant, the hood of her jacket can be set down. This reveals her bulky golden headphones perched atop her head.
Coming in the same bundle as Chigusa, Yuki can look both fashionable and formidable if you pair her with (what one would assume is) her signature backpack, namely the H4ck // P4ck.
5. Megumi (Rare)
The final //R.E.M Waker// member to round off our initial trio of Fortnite anime skins is the defector and former R.E.M Corp member, Megumi.
According to her in-game biography, Megumi previously worked for the supposedly nefarious R.E.M Corp as a security guard. However, she was apparently so inspired by the heroic feats of the R.E.M Wakers that she ditched her affiliation with the bad guys to take up arms with the rebellion that is the Wakers.
To say Megumi is battle-ready is an understatement. This non-nonsense lady’s outfit consists of a black crop top, dark pink combat trousers, and military boots, her clothing showing off her roots and background as a combat-experienced officer.
Her look is punctuated by a satchel, a utility belt (complete with walkie talkie), a holster, and black tactical gloves.
Megumi preserves her own personality and style with her softening pigtails. This is contrasted by her fully inked arm sleeves which only add to her flair.
Kit her out with the Rebel Authority swords included in the Infiltration Tools pack (and/or the Wakers’ set) and put the Guard Pup on your back and watch your foes scamper in fear.

4. Sasuke Uchiha (Epic)
Shifting over to an anime series that does exist, we have our first entry from the Naruto Team 7 set in the form of the formerly vengeful and now reformed ninja, Sasuke Uchiha.
Arriving with his fellow ninjas in Chapter 2: Season 8, Sasuke is one of the last surviving members of the Uchiha clan who joined Team 7 with Naruto Uzumaki (we’ll get to him later) in his ultimate effort to hunt down and defeat his older brother Itachi for destroying the Uchiha clan.
Sasuke has a traditional look that’s been updated with some modern touches; his grey zip-up jacket is paired with midnight blue bottoms, with his waist covered by a large piece of grey fabric held together by a chunky rope knot. His simple sandals cover his feet, and his samurai sword remains sheathed and held to his back by the rope knot.
Sasuke’s coolest feature by far is his customization option that, while ultimately subtle, really plays to the nature and origin of the character.
Sasuke can either have his default red eye color, or the more frenzied and chaotic Rinnegan eye color/pattern with its faint, dark purple hue that invades his entire eyes.
This Naruto Fortnite skin may not be the coolest Fortnite anime skin. Yet, his staunch and reserved look makes one of the most unnerving and eerily intimidating. Keep reading to see more from this awesome series!
3. Sakura Haruno (Epic)
While in the lore of the anime she’s stepped down from the dangerous yet noble adventures undertaken by Team 7, Epic Games wouldn’t dare leave the world’s greatest medic-ninja out of their Naruto line up.
Sakura Haruno has had quite the journey throughout the Naruto series, going from a shy wallflower of a girl to one of if not the most skilled person (in the world in some cases) in multiple disciplines.
Sakura may primarily be a master of medicine and healing, but her strength and tenacity are nothing to be sniffed at either. Her understated attire of a red zip top, black shorts, gloves, and boots, topped off with her famous red headband sitting in her pink hair may give her the appearance of a delicate cherry blossom (fun fact: Sakura in Japanese means cherry blossom), but this is far from the case.
Sakura also has a skin customisation that reflects her later life as the wife of Sasuke Uchiha, very appropriately titled Sakura Uchiha after taking her husband’s name. Here she sports a more feminine look in a red piqao dress with white bottoms.
Her alternate hairstyle also reveals her forehead sign of the purple rhombus, indicating the Strength of a Hundred Seal. A beautiful piece of attention to detail by the artists I might add that makes her the queen of the Fortnite anime skins.

2. Naruto Uzumaki (Epic Anime Fortnite Skin)
The main man himself takes second place on our list of the best Fortnite anime skins, despite his power, skill, heroism, and his ability to attain the seventh Hokage.
In the manga and anime series that bears his name, Naruto experiences the true hero’s journey we’ve all come to know and love. From the moment he stood up for what would become his future wife Hinata against a group of bullies to playing a pivotal part in ending the Fourth Shinobi World War (although it does cost him his right arm, ouch), Naruto grows from a child ninja in training to realizing his dream of becoming a selfless saviour of the people as the Hero of the Hidden Leaf.
His default outfit is the iconic look of Uzumaki that even non-fans of the anime will know; his blonde spikey hair held up by his black headband (these ninjas really love a headband) and his signature orange and black tracksuit. The look overall reflects how Uzumaki appears in Naruto: Shippuden, arguably his most popular stylisation.
His other skin variant shows Naruto as he appears in Boruto: Next Generation, after he has achieved the status of the legendary Seventh Hokage. His age shows through more on his face here with his shorter hair, ditching the headband in favor of an off-white cape, but keeping the same orange-black color scheme except now having an all orange jacket with black sleeve accents and black bottoms.
The Team 7 member can be purchased alone for 1,500 V-Bucks, or in a bundle with our winner for 2,100 V-Bucks. Check out our accompanying review to see every Naruto Fortnite skin and how they are ranked from worst to best!
1. Kakashi Hatake (Epic) – Best Anime Fortnite Skin
The winner of the best Fortnite anime skin goes to the least lore-rich character added in the Team 7 Naruto set, and that winner is Kakashi Hatake.
In the anime, Kakashi has only been present in the New Era Academy Arc, and is a shinobi of Konohagakure’s Hatake clan. He gets assigned to be part of Konoha’s team of Black Ops ninjas (which, let’s be honest, is just down right cool) by the Fourth Hokage, Minato, until he is taken off the team for having a “good heart”.
The main reason Kakashi takes the top spot on the podium is that he has three skins which all get progressively more awesome as you go through them.
His default skin has his spiked grey hair, headband (of course) covering one eye (only bad players need both eyes), and facemask, all combine well with his black top and bottoms, with his look finalized with a khaki tactical vest.
Then comes his Black Ops skin, where he ditches his headband and opts for plated chest armor and protection for his forearms. His red eye is also exposed after losing his headgear, making him even more menacing.
His final look takes all the elements of the Black Ops outfit and adds the only thing that could make it better; a Kabuki mask.
There’s just something about a faceless Black Ops ninja with a giant samurai sword that makes me think he just might deserve to be crowned the coolest-looking anime guy around.
Plus, he has unique dialogue with Batman skins and can technically summon the power of Purple Lightning.
Case closed.
Potential Future Anime Skins in Fortnite
So that’s how we rank the current bunch of Fortnite anime skins that players can don to venture onto the Battle Bus and claim their latest victory royale in.
But what does the future hold?
Epic never rests on its laurels for very long, so the next collab is probably just around the corner. With that in mind, let’s ruminate on what anime goodies we could get potentially treated to in the future.
Dragonball x Fortnite Pack (Goku, Vegeta, Freiza, Piccolo)
There’s much speculation about what the next collaboration with Fortnite will be, and there probably always will be.
One that seems to have fans in particular delight is the thought of the heroes of Dragonball Z crashing into the world of Fortnite.
A few mock-ups on the web exist, and while convincing, none of them are official in any way.
However, it’s not hard to imagine iconic characters like Goku and Vegeta going super saiyan all over the place when powerful comic book characters like Thanos, Spider-Man, and Batman have all set foot into the Battle Royale.
One-Punch Man Fortnite Anime Skin
Once again akin to the mighty Thanos and how insanely powerful the Infinity Gauntlet made you when you picked it up, having the cape of the One Punch Man hidden in the world somewhere would create the same amount of joy and chaos as the Marvel glove of doom did.
Admittedly, it would be very cool to see Saitama flying through the air…until he lands on you.
Kenshiro
A personal favorite of mine, the protagonist of Fist of the North Star could be a great fit for the Battle Royale.
With his immense strength and superhuman abilities, you can already hear players saying “…You are already dead…”
Yugi Muto
A relic from my own childhood that I’ve lost touch with, Yu-Gi-Oh! Is still as popular today as it ever was.
With the potential of including other characters from the series like Kaiba and Joey, I think it could be a cool idea to introduce cards as a mechanic that grant players abilities like infinite stamina or faster shield recharge with magic cards or even putting a selection of monsters into the game that can be defeated for special loot.
Joseph and Jonathan Joestar
Straight out of one of the most popular animes of all time, grandfather and grandson pair Jonathan and Joseph Joestar could fit very neatly into the cast of guest characters that Fortnite has played host to.
With the use of the Ripple abilities and Clackers, it could add a fun new dimension to Fortnite’s gameplay thanks to the inclusion of this bizarre family duo.
Pokemon x Fortnite Fortnite Anime Skin Bundle
It’s surprisingly this hasn’t be done before, especially seeing as Pokemon GO and the latest Switch entry of Pokemon Legends: Arceus being in and around the limelight at the time of writing. It seems like such a powerhouse of an IP like Pokemon would be marry up perfectly with Fortnite, especially seeing as they share the same rough age demographic.
Whether they would put actual skins or outfits into the game is debatable, it seems like the franchise lends itself to the environment of Fortnite, populating the world with pocket monsters that can be caught or collected that can then add fire damage to your bullets or let you destroy buildings instantly with earthquakes.
This would definitely be more of a crossover event rather than a collab, but the only thing that may potentially cause this never to go ahead is Nintendo’s reluctance to let such a valuable entity like Pokemon to be associated with a gun that has gunplay and violence (however cartoonish) as its primary focus. Make sure to post your favorite Fortnite anime skins in the comments below.
