Top 5 Classic Skins in Valorant, Ranked from Worst to Best

A few moments on the server will make any player realize that the Classic is one of the most popular pistols in the Valorant community. It might be because players receive it free of cost at the start of each round, or the fun of deadly burst shots at close range. Regardless, because of the popularity, Valorant players are looking for Classic skins in the market.

In this article, we are going to discuss the best Classic skins Valorant has to offer. From the fantastical to the practical, buckle up and enjoy the journey.

    Brief Classic Pistol Overview

Classic is the secondary weapon players get at the start of every round – free of cost. Yes, this is the only pistol that is free. It comes with two types of firing modes, namely the semi-automatic single fire and semi-automatic shotgun fire. As the name suggests, the single fire is the default mode that shoots a single bullet, while the shotgun mode shoots three bullets at once.

Most of the pros in Valorant prefer the Classic for two reasons. First, consider its close-range shotgun effect. Three bullets at once are extremely damaging! However, this handgun is not a one-trick pony. Players can use this gun at medium-range and even (in some circumstances) at long-range, making it an exceptionally versatile pistol.

The second reason pros prefer it is its 0 pricepoint. It’s a cornerstone of a cautious strategy: Players use a free weapon and invest their credits in abilities or shields to make their points stretch farther. Why be a glass cannon when you could be a powerhouse?

Now that we introduced the Classic, let’s discuss how to jazz it up. Here are the best Classic skins Riot Games has released.

Top Classic Skins in Valorant, Ranked

    5. RGX 11z Pro Classic

Honorable Mentioned for the Top Valorant Classic Skin in Green and Gray

The RGX 11Z Pro Skin was inspired by colorfully backlit gaming PCs. It’s a bit meta to have a PC-inspired artifact inside a PC game, but it works!  Unlike most skins out there, the RGX has a color scheme that changes depending on what sort of light it’s exposed to.

RGX Classic skin has a total of four variants. The default one has a green and black shell. Teal light appears when the gun is being operated. The second variant has a red and black shell with a purple backlight. The third one is blue, and the fourth variant is mustard colored with a teal backlight.

    Cosmetic Upgrades

This Classic skin has all the bells and whistles when it comes to upgrades.

There are a lot of VFX, SFX, animations, and GFX options, alongside a randomizer, a kill counter, and a memorable finisher. When you are firing, there is a special mechanical sound while the weapon’s core rotates around on various actions. The finisher involves high-tech-looking pillars dropping around the targetted player. A plasma globe effect appears around the player, followed by an illusory image of a shattered sphere.

There is a whole bundle of RGX 11Z Pro Skins that you can get for more than 8k Valorant points, but you can buy individual skins as well.

The price of one RGX 11Z Pro Classic Skin is around 2175 Valorant points.

    4. Glitchpop 2.0 Classic

Glitchpop classic weapon with colorful overlay

Glitchpop is one of the most popular skin bundles in the Valorant community. There is good reason for its rank on our Classic Skins Valorant list. How do we put it? If Katy Perry were a gun, she would be the Glitchpop Classic. Something about these bright colors, flashing lights, and cartoonish art gives us a sugar rush!

This Classic skin has bright, vibrant color schemes that take your attention at first sight. When players fire the gun, it makes an iconic twang sound that can be recognized from miles away.

Just like the others in our list, glitchpop also comes with a total of four variants. The default option is a beautiful ombre that fades from magenta to cyan. The lower half of the gun is primarily black with gold highlights. The second variant is predominantly blue and features a holographic sound bar on the side. The third one is mostly red and looks like it would be at home on the underside of a snowboard. The last one looks a bit more serious in black and gold. Together, these variants look as cheerful as a bag of skittles.

    Upgrades Available

In terms of upgrades, the Glitchpop Classic Skin has everything, from animations, VFX, GFX, and SFX to a finisher. When players fire the gun, a bright burst of light appears around the gun’s muzzle. When players reload it, glitching holographs appear around the weapon.

The finisher is truly over the top–we’re talking giraffe-in-a-goat-pen levels of excess. The downed player explodes in splatters of neon-colored paint, and holograms of cartoon-style stickers appear around them. It almost looks like cutesy popup ads have murdered the player.

Glitchpop 2.0 is among the most expensive skins in Valorant. Players can get the whole bundle for more than 8k Valorant points, but you can also get individual skins.

The price of Glitchpop 2.0 Classic skin is around 2175 Valorant points.

    3. G.U.N Classic

GUN Pistol based on the appearance of weapons in Fallout

The G.U.N Classic skin will undoubtedly be among your favorite Valorant skins if you are a meme lover. First of all, G.U.N stands for Gravitational Uranium Neuroblaster. It is a space-themed Classic skin and among the most unique skins in the whole FPS gaming industry.

On physical appearance, this pistol looks just like its futuristic name implies: a space pistol that has a laser-firing antenna on top. It has an overall round shape that wouldn’t look out of place in The Jetsons or Futurama.  This skin is quite polarizing: some like it a lot, while some abhor its existence!

As usual, this Classic skin has a total of four variants. The light teal one is the default. The second variant is a chrome one, the third one is black with a touch of gold, and the last one is a red and blue variant.

In terms of upgrades, you can go for a change of VFX, GFX, and SFX. There is a beautiful space wobble-type sound when firing the G.U.N. Classic.

G.U.N. is a whole bundle that you can get for more than 7k Valorant points, but you can also get individual skins.

The price of G.U.N Classic skin is around 1775 Valorant points.

    2. Prime – Runner-Up to the Greatest Valorant Classic Skin

Gold plated skin for default pistol in Valorant

If someone has to bet their life on a Valorant skin that looks great on every weapon, it would be Prime.  A mix of matte and metallic surfaces communicates a sense of touch to these skins, as though we can really feel them.

Prime Classic has been around for a long time, and nearly every die-hard fan of Classic has it in the inventory. Yes, it is much simpler and clean looking compared to the newer Classic skins Valorant developed, but it has everything the latest entries have.

There is a total of four variants with prime Classic skin; the default one is the golden tone Classic. Then there is the orange version, the most famous cyan, and finally the yellow version. All of the variants look amazing, but opting out of the default one gives your player a bit of street cred. You can unlock the three alternate variants after logging enough time with the default one.

In terms of upgrades, the Prime Classic Skin has everything. Players can access VFX, animations, finishers, and SFX. When the finisher activates, a wolf’s eyes appear,  soon followed by the rest of its head. The wolf’s head eats the victim, then vanishes in a cloud of particolored smoke!

There is a whole Prime Collection which you can get for more than 7k Valorant credits, but players can buy individual skins for less.

The price of Prime Classic Skin is around 1775 Valorant points.

    1. Spectrum – The Best Valorant Classic Skin

The Best Classic Weapon Skin in Valorant

Nothing beats the spectrum skin in Valorant! It is colorful, has great visuals, has flawless sound effects, and takes the experience to another level. Spectrum Classic is the result of Valorant developers’ collaboration with Zedd, a Russian-German DJ and music producer.

When you open the bundle for Spectrum, you will have the ability to unlock four types of Spectrum Classic Skins. There is the default white and red, a purple skin with cyan highlights, and a red and teal version. Finally, the most beautiful Spectrum Skin is black and purple.

Players can unlock any of the alternate variants if they play enough with the spectrum Classic skin.

Upgrades for the Best Classic Skin in Valorant

Furthermore, you can unlock nifty firing animations, VFX, and SFX. Did we mention the finisher? Spectrum Classic Skin has one of the most beautiful finishers in the game. The downed player bursts into streams of light as a dance-hall ceiling appears above them. Were we playing a game or going clubbing?

Finally, there is something unique here with Spectrum Classic Skin: its soundtrack that plays in the background. As you might have guessed, the whole soundtrack is created by Zedd himself.

The Spectrum bundle first came out worth over 10k Valorant credits, but now you can get the skins individually.

The price of one Spectrum Classic Skin is around 2675 Valorant Points.

Final Verdict on the Best Classic Skins in Valorant
