In order to play Payday 2 in split-screen mode, you will first have to download and install the Nucleus Coop application. NC is a 3rd-party application that allows players to enable dual-screen mode in numerous games. This is true even if they do not officially support it. Similarly, Payday 2 is one of those titles that do not support dual-screen mode. Fortunately, NC brings the idea to reality.
Moreover, after installing Nucleus Coop on your system, perform the following steps to enable the split-screen in Payday 2:
- Open NucleusCoop.exe.
- Click on ‘Download Game Scrips’ and search for “Payday 2”.
- Press the ‘Download’ button and the file opener will pop up.
- Locate the directory folder of Payday 2, which is:
- Steam > Steamapps > Common > Payday 2
- Assign the controllers, click on the ‘ > ‘ arrow at the top-right corner of the window and then press ‘Play’.
