Aim trainers have become increasingly popular over the past few years, with professional gamers utilizing them on streams, recommending them for improved aim, and Aim Lab presenting challenges. Additionally, with tactical shooters being as popular as they are, aim is arguably the most crucial skill for an FPS gamer to possess.
So, then, there are many questions, such as: Do aim trainers work? What is the difference between Kovaak’s and others? Is Kovaak’s Aim Trainer right for me and worth the expense? This article will “aim” to answer all of these questions and give our opinion on the best way to improve your aim.
Should You Get Kovaak’s Aim Trainer?
To be honest, this depends entirely on who you are and what your goals are. In our experience, aim trainers can help immensely with hand-eye coordination and can speed up improvement tenfold. Knowing how to use aim trainers is crucial; however, more on that later.
Unfortunately, the answer will be quite boring: try it out and see if it works for you. In our opinion, Kovaak’s is the best aim trainer available, offering many options, scenarios, and difficulty levels to choose from.
Kovaak’s Aim Trainer is definitely worth it if you are looking to take your aim to the next level, especially if you are playing in tournaments or competing in some way. Using Kovaak’s can be beneficial to you.
If you are looking to improve and become really good at any FPS game, Kovaak’s is excellent but not necessary. Usually, you will be given all the tools to get better at whatever game you are playing, and simply playing to improve and challenge yourself can go a long way.
If you are new to FPS games, an aim trainer can help you familiarize yourself with the mechanics of aiming in a safe environment. However, training your aim in-game or in a free aim trainer such as Aim Lab can be good enough.
Kovaak’s is only 8.19 euros on Steam right now, and in our opinion, it is definitely worth giving a try if you want to improve your aim quickly.
What Makes Kovaak’s Aim Trainer Different From Other Aim Trainers?
What differentiates Kovaak’s from other aim trainers, such as Aim Lab and 3D Aim Trainer, is mostly its diversity. Kovaak’s was the first proper 3D aim trainer and, as such, it had a lot of time for the community to figure out different scenarios and options.
In our experience, playing other aim trainers will get the job done for warming up or training your aim if you are a beginner. However, once you get better at the scenarios over time, you start to plateau. There just isn’t much challenge, or rather, it is difficult to find the right scenarios.
One bad thing about that is that finding the right aim drills can be quite overwhelming, as there are thousands of different scenarios. Luckily, a few Google searches and you will have a decent place to start.
How Do I Use this Aim Trainer Properly?
In simple terms, the best way to use an aim trainer is to challenge yourself; sure, scenarios like gridshot are really fun to play, and we do not discourage you from playing it, but anything that challenges you is a better way of practicing.
Challenge yourself by doing harder scenarios, going faster, or increasing your sensitivity; Kovaak’s makes all of those really easy for you. Aiming communities like Revosect and Voltaic have great playlists for both beginners and experienced players alike.
Just like practicing an instrument or sport, the most important thing is consistency. Doing just fifteen minutes of aim training daily will do wonders for your aim. There isn’t any magic tip to make you aim better; practice is the best way. Kovaak’s aim trainer will be worth it for most players that want a good practice tool to improve their accuracy.
Additionally, when it comes to what you should expect, do not listen to titles such as “I used XYZ aim trainer for 30 days, and it made me insanely skilled”. Getting good at aiming takes a long time, and do not be discouraged if you do not see drastic results within the first two weeks.
That being said, a general rule of thumb is if you did not break any of your records for about two weeks, you are probably stuck and should change something up in the way you train.
When Should I Not Use Kovaak’s?
With all the praise we have given to the aim trainer, the simple truth is that it is not for everyone. You do not need an aim trainer to be terrific at aiming. For example, Shroud, an ex-pro player and streamer, never used aim trainers and is one of the best aimers out there.
If you find the process of aim training unenjoyable or boring, we don’t recommend spending time on it. If you enjoy what you do, you will do better, and if you aren’t having fun, it is better to play the game you want to improve in.
Health
Another thing is, if you are injured or your wrists and arms hurt in some way, be very careful with aim trainers, as they can be quite taxing. Make sure to get proper exercise and stretches to alleviate the pain and strengthen your muscles before getting into it.
So many players overlook this, and we cannot stress enough how important your health is. So if you are experiencing some kind of pain, avoid aim trainers altogether until you get better.
