Hunt Showdown is an extraction shooter with larger risks and rewards. In this game, players must fight against each other, survive and extract one of the 2 bounties or both.
In a game such as Hunt Showdown, where players can die and not respawn, it is important to keep track of the number of teams engaged and gunshots heard. By knowing the number of players per match in Hunt Showdown, hunters can have a better idea of how many enemy Hunters are still alive in a match.
How many players can be in a match of Hunt Showdown
It doesn’t matter if you are playing Duos/Trios or solos. In a Hunt Showdown match, there can’t be more than 12 players. In certain matches, you can encounter less than 12 players but never more than that. If you are playing Duos you can disable the option to fight against trios. When disabling this option, you will be fighting more teams. In Trios, you will be fighting bigger but fewer teams which can be a little more challenging. When playing Solo, you can also disable teams of three but not Duos.
In a Quickplay match that can only be played in Solo mode, the amount of Hunters is the same, but you will be encountering 12 players at once.

How To Know the Size of the Enemy Team you are Fighting
There is no way in Hunt Showdown to know the size of a team you are fighting or killed unless you end the match and check the Team Details tab. Our tip is to always burn downed enemy Hunters. This way, they cannot be revived if there is a shy Hunter hiding in a bush, or it will make them come up.
Also, when fighting other teams, try to remember the skins and weapons you encountered so you can find out if you successfully wiped a team or not.
