Apex Legends client used to let gamers enjoy the true essence of the game even when they were not playing it. This, along with other features, made Apex Legends one of the most popular battle royale games.
Although there are some missing features like spectating a friend through which players can watch a friend’s games. Earlier players could see how many players were watching their gameplay, but developers recently removed this feature.
Other battle royale games offer to spectate your friend feature, and players demand this feature on the internet. Currently, there is no way to spectate your friends’ gameplay. Yet, upcoming updates will surely contain this feature due to all the hype and demand from Apex Legends players and fans!
Why are Players Asking for Spectator Mode Feature?
Spectator mode is more of a social feature as you will be able to watch the gameplay of random players and add them to your friends list to play in the next match with them. If you get killed quickly after landing on the map, spectator mode will keep you in the game.
Without this feature, players immediately get out of the match and wait for their friends to die or win the game to play the next games together. You can suggest some moves to your friends and tell them about the enemy’s possible location.

How will Spectator Mode Work?
Based on the Spectate your friends feature of other battle royale games, we can guess how the spectate feature will work in the Apex Legends client and prepare ourselves for the upcoming feature.
If you planned on joining your friends in a game, you are late, and they started the game without. You can still watch friends’ games with the spectate feature and see how they perform without you.
This will give you a chance to learn about the gameplay of your teammates to improve your gaming accordingly. When you get killed in the game, you can spectate all your alive teammates.
There is no way that you will be able to view the gameplay of the enemy who killed you until all your teammates are dead, or you can give the enemy’s location to your teammates, but this will be cheating.
Use the voice with the spectate feature for better results. Help a friend in their search for weapons to increase their kill count.
How to Spectate Friends in Apex Legends through Twitch
We know it may sound a little silly to point out, but you can spectate any of your friends through a streaming service, such as Twitch. As long as your friends have Twitch streaming accounts, they can stream their game in progress any time you want to watch!
Unfortunately, you can’t drop in to watch any Apex Legends game in progress. Yet, there are always tons of amazing Apex Legends streams up if you really want to get your AL fix!

Why did Developers Remove the Spectator Count?
Earlier, there was a feature to count the total number of spectators who are watching your gameplay, but developers removed this feature. This showed the total number of players who were watching your gameplay.
It automatically increases or decreases the number of spectators as players join or leave your stream. If you know how many players are watching you, your honor will be at stake. You will work hard to show them your best performance.
Those who voted against the spectator count feature have their reasons. The biggest reason was that cheaters got an edge, so developers made things hard for cheaters by removing this feature.
Others believe that their performance drops, and they are nervous when players watch them. Without the spectate feature, they don’t know if anyone is watching them and can play their normal game. There is no option to click spectate from the settings in legends.
This feature puts some extra load on the server. Because the game’s developers didn’t want to compromise their gameplay, they removed it. The chances of developers adding spectating features despite so much hype are still low, as this will have a negative impact on the performance of the game. There is no clear answer from developers about the spectating mode.

Do You Get RP in Ranked Matches while Spectating Your Teammates?
The game rewards without RP when you kill players based on your current rank, and you can get more kills to reach the top rank. The question is, will you get RP by spectating your teammates after you get killed during a match?
The answer is yes, but this RP is known as the placement RP. If you leave a match and don’t spectate your teammates, you won’t get the RP for your kills and have to do all the hard work again for those RP.
The best strategy to get your hands on some extra RP is to stay alive till the end, as this will reward you with extra RP based on the RP of players you have killed.
