Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) fans have a lot of questions about how the heck you save and watch replays of the game. Well, today, we’re here to answer that head-scratcher and explain it in a step-by-step way. Oh, and for the uninitiated, you might be wondering about what’s the big deal with replays, right? Well, explain it in more detail below. Though, here’s the long and short of it: they’re vital and play a major role in assessing your performance post-match.

Without the replays, all you’re left with is your memory of the match. While some pros might be okay with that scenario, but not the majority, that’s for darn sure. So, without further ado, let’s kick off this party already and find out just exactly how to watch and save replays in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). Here we go!

How Exactly Do Watching and Saving Replays Help In Counter-Strike 2 (CS2)?

When playing Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), you and the majority of the players will be on a level playing field. Basically, the overhauls and changes to the game, like the dynamic smokes in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), will take getting used to. It might be that during the learning curve of the game, you fall short of the mark. Not because you weren’t good enough, but because the other player saw you coming and took you out.

You’ll be absolutely furious, right? Well, that’s what the replays in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) are for once you calm down. You get to watch the match and see what mistakes you made and what tipped the opponents off to your position. You can even make a comparison between which weapon combo you are using and your opponent’s loadout. Hell, if you wanna do a thorough breakdown, you can even save the replay of Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) onto your computer to watch it repeatedly. Capeesh?

How to Watch and Save Replays in Counter-Strike 2?

How to watch replays in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2).
Replays are incredibly vital to understanding your flaws with the game. So, don’t ever, and we mean ever! Overlook their importance in improving your performance.

Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) is a game that’s got a lot of layers to it. You’ll never know where you goofed up until you watch your performance again and again. Sometimes, the answer’s staring you right in the face, but you’re oblivious to it. It could be that you picked the wrong weapons in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) for a particular situation. Just know that the replay in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) will not spell it out for you. You gotta do the leg work and analyze on your own.

The process of downloading or saving replays in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) isn’t all that complex directly. However, there’s an easy way, and then there’s the tedious way to do it. We’ll go over both, so if one’s not your cup of tea, then you can go for the other one. During the limited Beta testing phase, it was a pain to get the darn replays for sure. Alright, now let’s take a look at both ways, starting with:

    The 1’st Way, a.k.a The Long-Winded Way

So, if you were playing the demo of Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), this method was the only way to watch replays with. Yeah, it was a pain; what can you do, right? Anyway, so here are the steps you need to follow. Take notes:

    • Head on over to the Steam page and log into your account. The home page redirect will show all of your games library along with game statistics.
    • Go to the Game section and select Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) from the list of the games in your library, but Do Not launch the game. Instead, right-click on it and select My Game Stats from the options.
    • Another sub-menu will open up. From there, hover your mouse to the My Personal Game Data option and click on it.
    • You be redirected, and a new screen will pop up for you. In this new page, look for the Premier Matches option and click on it.
    • A list of matches will appear on your screen. You pick the one you wanna watch from the list.
    • You’re gonna get asked about the Download GOTV Replay. Confirm and hit the download option.
    • It’ll ask you where you wanna save the file, and it is important that you pick the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) folder. If you don’t do this right, you won’t be able to watch the replay of your Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) match.
    • Enjoy the video~

Yeah, yeah, a bit of a doozy and lots of jumping through hoops for a simple replay feature of Counter-Strike2 (CS2), right? Well, we completely agree. But dem’s da rules, at least they were anyway, for the beta phase, that is. You can still use this method, but it’s too much rocket science for your noggin; we’ve got another, simpler way, too.

The 2’nd Way, a.k.a The Easy Way

So, this method is a heck of a lot easier than the first one, and honestly, we’re grateful for it. Valve did listen to the feedback, it seems, and implemented it correctly. Now, you can watch your Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) sessions replay without any hassle at all. Here’s what you’re gonna need to do:

    • You start off by opening the Steam page and logging in to your account. After that, you should look for the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) logo and launch the game.
The TV icon on the top left of the screen is the first step in watching and saving your cs2 replays.
    • Once you’re into the game, you look for the television icon at the top left of the screen. It’s easy to spot; you can’t miss it. Hover the mouse over it and click on it.
Pick from the list of matches you wanna save and watch.
    • A complete list of matches will appear for you to choose from. Pick whichever Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) match you wanna watch or save the replay of.
Download button in green is your next stop.
    • After you click on the match, hover the most down to the bottom right of the screen. You’ll see the download button there in green. Wait for the download to finish.
The download button is now the watch button.
    • After the match is downloaded, you’ll notice the button has changed to Watch. Click on it, and you’ll see the match in its entirety.

And that’s all there’s to it. You can now watch the match replay of your performance in Counter-Strike (CS2), easy peasy. It’s much easier, not to mention doesn’t have you going through a series of tedious steps like the first method above.
