Since its release way back in 2019, Beat Saber has been the gold standard when it comes to VR experiences. The Czech game development studio responsible for the title, Beat Games, has done a great job of building a game that is both fun to play, and also great for exercise.
When it comes to VR exercise, Beat Saber has options that run the gamut from easy all the way up to nearly impossible. Many of the included and extra songs fall into the former category, but several songs in Beat Saber are extremely difficult.
Join us as we go over the hardest songs you can attempt in Beat Saber. These songs will really leave you sweating!
It’s Time – Imagine Dragons (Hardest Beat Saber Song in the Imagine Dragons DLC Pack)
Regardless of how you feel about Imagine Dragons, you can’t deny their success. The band made its debut in 2012 with an album that featured quite a few instant classics like “Radioactive”, “Demons”, and “It’s Time”, which was actually their very first single.
“It’s Time” is also special for another reason: it is the hardest song in the Imagine Dragons DLC pack. The soul-crushing track screams by at 105 BPM and features 1031 blocks to slice through. On Expert+ mode, you’ll have to contend with 4.42 notes per second and dodge 36 barriers! The barriers in particular make the game as fun to watch as it is to play.
Angel Voices – Virtual Self
Electronic music producer Porter Robinson’s side project Virtual Self has released several awesome tracks since 2017. These high-intensity electronic/trance tracks are perfect for getting pumped at the gym or doing a dance, but they are even more perfect for the arms-flailing madness of Beat Saber.
Angel Voices, an “Extra” song available within Beat Saber’s base game, will keep your muscles in flames with its 166 Beats Per Minute and 4.52 Notes Per Second. Just try to keep focus. Camelia’s music is known for kicking off crazy nights of dancing, but there are high scores to conquer!
Cycle Hit – Kasai Hardcores
This next song was created by a Japanese electronic music supergroup that features amazing DJs such as DJ Genki, C-Show, and Camelia. Together, the trio makes some exceptionally hard-hitting tracks that will make you want to dance and make for some of the hardest Beat Saber songs to play.
Their track “Cycle Hit” in particular is considered by many who have played it to be the hardest song in the whole game! It is featured as part of the Camelia Music Pack DLC, where it is featured along with another special track on this list. “Cycle Hit” has a stunning map that will whizz past you at 175 BPM, with a staggering 2,023 notes at 6.38 Notes Per Second.
New Divide – Linkin Park
This is a band that certainly doesn’t need an introduction at this point. The legendary band’s inclusion in Beat Saber is courtesy of their 11-track music pack that features tracks from throughout their more than 20-year history.
The song we’re going to cover here is “New Divide”, the theme song the band made for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in 2009. This track hums along at 118 BPM, which is slower than the previous tracks on this list, but “New Divide” makes up for that with complex block placement and loads of obstacles.
The details for “New Divide” are as follows: on Expert+, it has 5.14 Notes per Second, 162 walls, and 10 bombs to deal with. As long as you’re aware of your surroundings, not running into a wall, and maintaining your combo, this song is fairly normal.
MIC Drop – BTS and Steve Aoki (Hardest K-Pop Beat Saber Song)
Beat Saber is a near-perfect place to showcase the infectious sounds and fuzzy feelings that are provided by K-Pop. The most popular Korean group in the US, BTS, makes their Beat Saber debut with DJ Steve Aoki and their track, “MIC Drop.”
In terms of numbers, “MIC Drop” seems to be in line with the other higher-difficulty tracks. However, the arrangement of the blocks and the mix-and-match approach to mechanics makes this Beat Saber song considerably harder to pull off. And if you’re struggling through the first part, just wait for the closing minute or so. One of the singers even wishes you “good luck”!
Ghost – Camelia
Camelia, one-third of the Kasai Hardcores trio, has several of his own tracks in Beat Saber with a DLC pack that has some of the most crushingly difficult beat maps in the entire game. But, if you’re up for a challenge, you can’t really go wrong with any of Camelia’s content.
The search for the hardest map in all of Beat Saber is over thanks to Camelia’s “Ghost”. This one is either heaven for a fan who is interested in the ride of their life, or hell for someone who doesn’t want to feel like their limbs are on fire. That feeling is justified though because “Ghost” has a whopping 2,726 blocks to cut that whip past you at 220 BPM.
This is one of those selections where you really need to find and keep the beat if you have any hope of completing it. And with those details, you won’t have much time to rest until it’s all over. The sheer intensity of this means many will have difficulties even attempting it, but the satisfaction of completing “Ghost” can’t even be put into words.
Final Thoughts on the Hardest Beat Saber Song
So there you have it! These are some of the most difficult Beat Saber songs out there, with a few honorable mentions that didn’t quite make the cut. If you’re looking for a challenge, any of these tracks will definitely give you one. And if you can complete them, you’ll have bragging rights for life!
