Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) knife types are something everyone wants to know about in the game’s latest iteration. You’ll not have to wonder any longer, as today we’re doing a deep dive into knives. No, not literally, cause diving into knives is a terrible idea! We’re examining all the 19 variant knives in the game and explain what’s the deal with each of them. We’ll also explain how you can get your hands on one of them and just why the heck are some of them so darn expensive.

You’ll know all there is to know about every knife type in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). The in-game economy is already a complex enough maze to navigate, but the knives operate on a different level. You’ll need to pony up the dough for the variant knives; that much is a certainty. Or if you prefer the generic knife, that’s your call, but it won’t exactly make for a cool conversation starter. Alright, so with so much to cover, let’s kick off this party right away! Here we go!

What are the Best Knife Types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2)?

Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) knife types are valuable because they have great aesthetics.

The truth is each and every knife type in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) is practically the same. Mind blown, yet? Let us explain. You see, it’s of little consequence which type of knife you have or purchase, as functionally, they’re all alike. They only look different and cool, but utility-wise, none of the variants will have any impact on the gameplay. So, to answer, what’s the best knife type in the game? The answer is that there’s no such thing as the best knife. Capeesh?

How Do You Get Alternative Knife Types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2)?

The best way to get new knife types or alternative skins for weapons in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) is to buy them. You can go about purchasing it in a couple of ways: either buy them directly through third-party websites or try your luck and purchase cases. You can open the cases with a key, which you gotta buy separately. It’s a lot of hassle, but the temptation is there. Oh, and you earn cases by playing matches, which will get you a random case for your efforts after you level up.

Why Are the Alternative Knife Types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) So Expensive?

The knife aesthetic skins, much like the CS: GO skins, are expensive and highly in demand. That’s because they cost real money and are extremely rare, especially the ones with eye-catching, unique designs. Also, if you have these alternative knife types, it shows your dedication and gives you serious bragging rights. Even more so if you have the rarest skins of these knives.

The reason why the knives are so expensive is because they operate on a separate economy. You gotta pay real money to buy them. Their prices fluctuate with demand and supply.

Now, let’s briefly look at all 19 variants of the knives that you’ll find players touting in-game. We’re not looking at skins but the general alternatives of the default knife. We’ll start with the cheaper (relatively) ones and lead up to the most valuable knife types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2).

    1.) Classic Knife

The Classic Knife type in CS2 has a lot of variants.

We’re starting things off with the Classic Knife type, which is quite similar to the default knife of Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). It’s got subtle differences for the observant. Possessing a sleek yet straightforward shape, the real attraction is the firm’s sharp handle with a firm grip that resonates with authority. Its asking price, because of the variant skins, is going for a pretty penny, too, from $160 to around the $1300 mark.

    2.) Bowie Knife

    Bowie Knife.

The Bowie knife type in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) is one of the relatively cheaper options you can go for. The design is nothing to write home about, but the blade and hilt curves do make it stand out. It exudes an air of aggression and tough times on the battlefield. It’ll cost you between $125 to $800, depending on the variant you’re going for.

    3.) Gut Knife

Gut Knife is one of the most uniquely looking knife types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2).

Looking for something that stands out? Well, the Gut knife type in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) is a variant that’ll do that. Also, the knife is (relatively) easier on the wallet, too. It ranges from as low as $111 but hits as high as above the $1200 range if you wanna go for the Safari Mesh skin.

4.) Navaja Knife – One of the Cheapest Knife Types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2)

    Navaja Knife.

A unique appearance to the other knife types in Counter-Strike (CS2) is the Navaja knife. Its grip base gives off a solid, punchy look adorned with marble, and the blade’s shorter length gives a compact feeling. The Navaja knife will range between $100 to $400 price tags, depending on the variant.

    5.) Huntsman Knife

Huntsman knife type is rough and tough looking alternative in CS2.

The Huntsman knife is among the grizzled and gritty-looking knife types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2. Giving off the aura of a really visceral use that it has seen. Makes for a really cool visual, and it’ll only cost you $100 at its lowest price. However, the higher-valued variant has a maximum cost of above $1,200.

    6.) Survival Knife

    The Survival Knife.

Fashionably technical, the Survival knife is actually one of the most stylish knife types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). The immediately eye-catching feature is the screw in the middle of it’s length. This knife’s aesthetic gives its owner a sense of adventure and how they’re ever-ready to face any challenge head-on. It’ll cost you from $130 to anywhere around the $900 mark.

    7.) Falchion Knife

Falchion Knife type is among the best looking ones in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2).

Starting range of $122 and going only as high as $700 isn’t that bad of a deal for the various Falchion knife types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). The blade and the grip both have a sharp curve that homages the medieval sword it’s taking inspiration from. It’s a solid aesthetic choice if you like to play stealthily.

    8.) Flip Knife

    Flip Knife.

The Flip knife in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) is one of the extremely rare knife types. The Persian influence and the teethed blade give it a menacing presence. The pointy tip also has a nice intimidation factor. A solid buy between $200 and going as exorbitantly high as above $1700. It boils down to how much you want it.

    9.) Shadow Daggers

    Shadow Daggers.

Are you a fan of dual-weild builds? Well, the Shadow Daggers are for you. They’re the only pair of knife types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) that can make you look spectacularly badass. They range from $105 to as bonkers as $1800, depending on which variant you’re getting. Still, money well-spent if you ask us.

    10.) Nomad Knife

The Nomad Knife type is again another elegantly stylish one in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2).

One of the best-looking tactical knife types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) is the Nomad knife. What you’re getting is a no-nonsense, professional, and precise weapon that’ll instantly get your cool rating through the roof. $169 and $ 1500 is the minimum and maximum price range for the Nomad knife.

    11.) Paracord Knife

    Paracord Knife.

Gorgeously designed, the Paracord knife exemplifies the role of the hunter. One who seeks out its targets and isn’t afraid of going head-on with them. The sturdiness is plain as day to any who takes one look at it, and it’s one of the finest Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) knife types. It ranges between $121 to $1,500.

    12.) Stiletto Knife

    Stiletto Knife.

If you like the blades that pop out when you push the button, then you’ll the Stiletto knife. It’s one of the most fanciest knife types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). You’ll feel like a true gangster wielding this around. Its price range is between $200 to $1,150.

    13.) Ursus Knife

    Ursus Knife.

You can feel the sharpness of the steel emanating from the surface of the Ursus knife. It’s got a practical look without sacrificing aesthetic originality. Instead of prettiness, it’s going for one of the more functional knife types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). Going as low as $129, the Ursus knife can go as high as $1,223.

    14.) Talon Knife

    The Talon Knife.

You wanna talk about knife types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) that stand out from the pack, the Talon knife says hello. The blade lives up to its name as the shape is like that of a talon. Just imagining how it would pierce the flesh is a horrific thought. You can show off this awe-inspiring knife for the price of $327 to a whopping $1,700.

    15.) Skeleton Knife

    Skeleton Knife.

Flippity-floppity movement and flashy spinning are part and parcel of the Skeleton Knife. It’s one of the more original and uniquely simplistic knife types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). The holes on the blade immediately grab the on-looker’s attention. It’s cost is between $300 and $1,900.

    16.) Bayonet

    Bayonet.

The Bayonet is one of the classic knife types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), and it’s pretty stellar. You get the standard military knife vibes from it, meaning it’s always looking ready to go. It ranges anywhere from $281 to $1,800 cause it’s got some exciting and colorful variants.

    17.) M9 Bayonet

    M9 Bayonet.

The M9 Bayonet is the evolution of the standard Bayonet knife types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). This one is much more animated and looks ominous, too. A haunting feeling awaits those who look at you wielding this one. It’s gonna cost a lot, though, starting price of $500 and going up to $2,200.

    18.) Butterfly Knife

    Butterfly Knife.

The Butterfly knife is gonna be a really big blow to your savings. But if you’re willing to fork over the dough, you’ll be the proud owner of the fanciest knife types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). The opening and closing of the Butter Knife give it among the most unique-looking animations among all knives in the game. The cost is eye-wateringly high, starting from $729 to a soul-crushing $7,000. Nuff said.

    19.) Karambit Knife

    Karambit.

And finally, the king among the most expensive and ludicrously exorbitant skin types in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), the Karambit. The minimum price of $590 is nothing compared to the mountainous cost of $20,000. Yep, twenty thousand bucks, yikes! But hey, people are paying this much for having it. The Karambit’s design evokes a wild and feral feeling. Like you’re the alpha going on to hunt down intruders. The Karambit is a one-of-a-kind.
